Good Morning. Getting outside at last

Going to go drive the cart while DH plays golf today. The kids and grand babies are leaving for my parents house and Son#2 is heading north looking at apartments. So we are empty nesters for a couple of days. Maybe we'll take the chairlift to the top of the mountain and hike a bit and then hit the pool. As much as I enjoy the grand babies and our sons, empty nesting is nice too. With the number of people in this fairly small living area, I shut down and wanted to crawl into my cave. I guess I really am an introvert. 

Anyway, I hope everyone has a great Thursday. Whatcha got planned?

i had to leave home at 3 this morning to get my flight  sitting in charolette now waiting for the next one  i thought about you gina and wondered if you were up  golf courses are usually quite attractive sohave fun driving the cart  i totally understand th liking everyone gone  ds comes home every weekend and he isnt any trouble but i like it whenhe goes home and we are alone  heck  i like it when dh goes away and iam alone  i guess it would get old but i have never had long enough to know

 
Working both jobs today. . . .fun!  

Other than that, am going to try and hit the gym tonight.  My exercise partner quit on me so now it looks like I'm going in alone.  That's going to make it tougher to drag my butt up to the gym.  I'm trying to corral one of my other friends into going with me lol.  I would take my kids but they have to be 18 for insurance liability reasons .

Just got home from work a little while ago and waiting for the babysitter to come over so I can sleep the day away. Thats all I seem to do is work and sleep...

WE are finally getting our hair cuts today...had to delay them by two weeks and both of us look a wee bit scruffy!

And we lost our minds yesterday...started by taking 5 of the 7 cats into the vet for their rabies shots and checkups...the only reason it wasn't all 7 was 2 had already had theirs when they made trips for other issues. Anyway, we take all 5 back out to the car and I stay there while dh goes in to settle up the bill. (not as bad as we thought considerin it was 5 of them). He comes back out wanting me to go in and see this adorable puppy (she's actually 2 years old) that was being given up by her owner free to a good home...

Yeap, we now have another dog in the house...wasn't sure it was gonna work yesterday cause she and Conner were being snappish at each other and with her weighing in at a grand 8 lbs and Conner weighing 22...it was not an even match. Anyway, almost 24 hours later, they are all outside happily playing with each other.

Her name was Ava but will rename her once we transfer all her stuff to us.

Photos later but she is a Chorky, Chihuahua-Yorkie mix. She has silky hair and is about the same size as Lucy...altho she looks bigger due to all her hair.

I'm sore today - went to the chiro and had to fill out a ton of paperwork.  I need to start my documentation regarding it too.   What a PITA.

Ended up taking the bike to the shop yesterday and went to Fredericksburg and picked the other one up - I was going to do that anyway and since I had help, made sense to do it.  

I ate like crap yesterday - all fat and carbs... I hope today is better.

Enjoy the golf cart! DH and I love ours but of course we are riding around through the fields and woods and not a beautiful resort.

I know what you mean Gina. Every year by the end of the week we say we aren't going on a family vacation and every year we change our mind. Although I'm going to miss going to FL next spring I'm hoping we stick to it this time.

I'm excited about DD and family moving out but dreading it too. I guess I won't know for sure until they move, house is cleaned, and DH and I get reacquainted.

Nothing much planned for today.

Now your vacation can begin!!  Have fun Gina.  Is Son#2 moving out??  I must have missed that.  Is he going to be far away from you?

I love my empty nest.  I love for my kids and grandkids to come and visit but I really like my alone time.

Working today, our big annual board meeting that we host at our library is tonight.  So we have spent the week getting everything ready for tonight.  I had to travel this morning so am now eating a very late lunch, then need to finish setting up and getting the last minute things together.  Hopefully we will get home before 9pm tonight!

 Good morning! Took the dogs for a 2 mile walk out on the property, beautiful morning. Enjoying my last ten days before work starts . Two weekends left and I've filled them up with travel plans! Enjoy your Thursday!
