I hiccup too.  Usually only a couple as I'm fairly good at sensing fullness and stop reasonably soon.

If I stick to my "leave 2 bites on the plate" rule I normally do pretty good.... But it's kinda nice to have an actually sign.. I am definitely eating slower and taking small bites but instill cannot make a meal last 30 mins... So technically I know I'm eating to fast... So I dont feel fu for 10 to 15 mins after I eat... I guess my pouch decided to help me out... Lol

Before you finish, put your fork down and let it sit for a few mins...then decide if you really want to pick it back up. That gives your body some time to catch up with your mouth, LOL.

I always ate WAY too fast...a result of having to shovel it in during my summer at Advanced Camp during ROTC when we had about 5 mins to eat. I have discovered if I just stop and put my fork down about half way thru....I usually do NOT finish.

Getting over the "clean your plate because of all the starving children in China" syndrome helps. I either save it for another meal or throw it away...which no longer makes me crazy!

I get a runny nose but it is either with the first bite which I ignore, or way to late when I have over eaten.  Weighing and measuring are my friends.

I have always hiccuped too.  For the longest time it was annoying but now I thank God that my tool is still working at almost 4 years out. I still know that as soon as I fill a hiccup coming on I had better not take that next bite.
