Good Morning. Bambi everywhere you look

I went walking a couple of times yesterday--the weather is awesome up here. There are deer all over the place and many still have their spots. Awwww! I haven't seen the ground hogs like we used to see all the time when we first started coming up here, maybe they've moved further away from the development.  The management has all kinds of things posted about bears. If I could spot one of those at a safe distance that would spectacular. Anyway, the DIL loves seeing the animals in the wild since she never saw them growing up--city girl. I'm going to see if there are any local farmers markets in town and do a little shopping. There was a real nice flea market here a few years ago--maybe it's still here. Otherwise, I guess I'll be babysitting, walking and cooking for the family this week. I will try to do better on the carbs. Dang, nasty carbs!

What have you got planned today? Do you have your carbs under control?

Carbs are the work of the devil it seems!!! We have to have SOME but dang it, why do all the GOOD SWEET stuff have the carbs that are worse for your body????

Seeing wildlife in the wild is neat...a couple of summers ago, we saw a black bear mama and her cubs crossing a road (we were out at Cade's Cove in THEIR territory). The Forest Service was blocking traffic and keeping everyone back far enough to keep the bears and humans safe. Seeing deer around here usually means trouble for drivers....dh hit one about 10 years ago...actually Bambi kissed his driver side window, knocked him/her for a loop but both dh and the deer survived the encounter...so did the car!

I have a doctor's appt (vein clinic) for a final check. Also want to get puppies to the park today so they can run off their excess energy.

Spent about 2.5 hours in the shops with my parents (they're only with me for a couple more days).

I have a post op check up with my PCP this afternoon.  I'm hoping to get my final dressing removed then.  It's where they took my gallbladder and appendix out.  It looked awful (weepy) for ages, but it's looking good now (otherwise I'll do it tomorrow morning, but I live in hope for tonight ;-)).

Hope you enjoy and have a wonderful week.  We see deer in our yard almost everyday.  They come to eat the apples but luckily they stay out of the garden.

Work stuff, drive the pony, go visit my client in the hospital, go to my first TRX class.

Price, TRX is WONDERFUL!! It is a great core workout and I absolutely LOVE it. I think you will also like it, and it will help to tone your muscles, including your core, butt, chest, arms, and legs. In other words, your entire body. You will develop some tone underneath the loose skin. I try to do it, at least once per week, usually on Sundays, since I work with a trainer during the week. It is also great for stretching. I hope you like it!!

Awww cute baby deers!  Love seeing the babies.

I need to make a 4 year follow-up appt with my surgeon while I'm still out here.  I also need to get labs drawn.  I also need to make a dentist appt.  I also need to call Home Depot about the window sagging in my new house.  I need to call my property management company... and I'm heading to Annapolis today for a meeting tomorrow.  Guess some of it can wait, but not all.

Mowed my jungle yesterday - yes, it literally was a jungle.  I hadn't mowed in 5 weeks, with me being in MI and it so darned hot out here... Yard looks much better and house doesn't look abandoned anymore ;)

Hope you have a great week on your vacation Gina.  I love watching deer, they used to come up in our back yard because there are woods behind our house, but we don't see them as much anymore.

Back to work today and in my routine, on my schedule.  Carbs can get a hold of me pretty quickly.  I had the 1/2 biscuit yesterday morning at my mom's and then got into potato sticks last night that DH bought.

I ordered some Almond Flour and found some recipes on Pinterest for some sweets that I might try to make when it comes in.    I love sweets and know I'm not giving them up so I need to find me a couple of better choices than cookies and things like that at work.

The road kill has greatly increased in our area. Must be skunk mating season in Ohio!!!

Hope you have a fun week off I took this week last year -- week before school starts but my co-worker had last and this week off this year. Her first real non-staycation in 40 years. So I'll gladly cover. She is in Vancouver enjoying nature and looking for whales! Can't wait to hear her stories!
