Last week 172
This week 169.5

Yay I am in the 160's! 5 weeks after starting this journey - pre-op and now 3 weeks post I am down 24.5 (really want to say 25 lbs)!!!

I am walking more and have not stalled yet but I expect a slow down next week and really going forward. As I am able to get in my food and as I gain some muscle as my strength comes back I am anticipating it. BUT today Yippee for 24.5 lbs gone forever!!!

Total change +1
Changed scales this week because the old one was dying.  This scale was about 1 lb different and closer to what my doctor's scale says.
My headaches are getting better, finally.  Not gone completely but some improvement.  Makes my mood a lot better.  I hope I am able to find a job soon.  This being poor is getting old.

Glad to see things are improving on the headache front. And not sure you actually gained...since you changed your scale. What kind did you get?

And YES, being poor gets OLD really quick.

It seems all my scales are Taylor.  I am using my old scale that I replaced with the new scale the kept dying.  I stopped using the old one because the weights were inconsistent.  I could weigh myself 3 times and get 3 different weights.  I put in new batteries and it seems to be working okay for now.  The weights are staying consistent.  It also measures body fat but I don't know how accurate that is because the other one measured body fat, too, and there was like a 5% difference between the two.  What is funny is for the last 3 days my weight and body fat have been exactly the same, which is unusual for me.
I also got a cheap Taylor scale at the thrift store because I wasn't sure if my old one would work right and it says the exact same weight as this one, too, and they both are the same as my doctor's office, so I think they are correct at least as far as the weight goes.  Boy, that sure makes it sound as if I am obsessed with scales, doesn't it?  I'm really not.  It is just a gauge to measure if I am eating okay and I'm afraid not to weigh myself regularly since in the past all my regains started with me not weighing myself.  One of these days I'll find a healthy balance, maybe once a week.  It used to be that I didn't weigh myself because my weight would be stable and then gradually I would start eating more and not wanting to see it on the scale.  I would tell myself that I could tell by my clothes but denial is a tricky thing and soon I would just start wearing bigger clothes and deny I was gaining.  Or I knew I was gaining and didn't want to acknowledge it or do anything about it.  And since I am still trying different things to try and put on some weight I want to monitor things to make sure they don't get out of hand.

I've been where you are with the scale and regain.  It's good that you're trying something different to break the cycle.  I hope it works for you. ;-)

Liz, I hope you can figure out what is going on.  Have you tried changing things up for a few days and then go back to your routine?  I usually bounce around 3-4 pounds so maybe this is just your bounce around area.

Last week 125.5
Today 124.5 (after breakfast)

-1 pound

My mom insisted on cooking breakfast this morning before we left so I ate then went by my sister's and weighed on her scales.  I was 125.3 Thursday afternoon at the surgeons for my 3 year check up.
