Mentally letting food go

Today I had my first medically supervised weight loss appointment. 3 to go to check that insurance hurdle. After talking with her, I am 95% sure WLS is right for me. But here is the thing.,,,I am mentally creating the list of foods I want to eat before surgery! I'm having this moment of open season on food because of the restrictions that are coming. Anyone else go through this and any advice to overcome it?

Oh, yeah. I ate all sorts of last suppers. lol  You will be able to eat them again just not right away and not in the quantities you're currently used to.

I had a few "farewell" parties with things I knew I'd miss. Don't regret it, I felt more prepared to give it up for awhile. Now I don't want anything.

I had about a 10 Week food binge. And I gained before seeing the doctor, talk about embarrassing . I think if you can control it now it may not be so bad after surgery. Good luck!

Very normal, I did it too.  I think we all did.  but now I can't even remember what it was that I wanted so bad.  There is basically nothing now I CAN'T eat but things I choose NOT to eat.

Oh yeah, perfectly normal...

My BMI was SO close to the cutoff (35) that I was told not to lose anything. I went on a chocolate binge...and I mean BINGE...And STILL lost 3 lbs prior to surgery!

I eat chocolate now but maybe twice since my surgery and just a little piece.
