a good day

Yesterday was a horrible day.  The work stress was terrible and I didn't know whether I wanted to cry or throw up because of all the changes and service reductions.  Then I burned a pan of green beans because I forgot to turn them off when I took the dog to the vet.  Then the vet wanted to do bloodwork and test, I had just had it.

but today she called and he is fine, she just want him to gain a little weight.  And my Nut visit was great.  She was happy and we came to a good agreement about the D3.  I had them test my % of body fat and it was 22.5 which she said was wonderful.  It is actually below the ideal of 24-36%.  My base calorie intake without any exercise is 1160 which is about where I thought, 1200.
then I did some retail therapy since I was in a bigger city than home.  I went to a intimate shop and spent an hour and a half with a fitter and finally found a bra that is both comfortable and fits.  It is a 32D, what!!!!  We tried on everything from 32-36 and A to D before we found something.

then I headed to the Goodwill there that always has great deals.  I found 4 tops, TAnner and Ann Tayler and a jacket and a pair of sweatpants for $20.

Came home to more bad news from work.  One of my clients fell and broke her hip.  But I wasn't as distrought as I would have been if it had happened yesterday, thank goodness.

Tanita body Compostition Analyzer TBF-310 is what the printout says.  I stood barefooted on something that looked like a scale.  Took a few moments to read.  it probably isn't the MOST accurate but hopefully close enough.

Probably, pretty close and good enough to pick up trends. I'm having my body fat tested next week with a Bod Pod.  I think going by body fat is more reliable than the number on a scale. At least that is what I tell myself.

she has surgery tomorrow.  She is severely disabled already and may never walk again. Evidently she didn't break her hip but her femur close to the hip joint.  You know there is some statistic about how soon after a broken hip some older folks die.  It's pretty scarey.

Whew! What a couple of days you have had.
Glad you were able to do a little shopping.

Hip and femur fractures are terrible for the elderly. Its hard to see. I dont know why some do ok, and others just cant bounce back. Prayers going out to her.
