Rejoice.  I loved that time right after surgery when I could care less about food.  I ate, and got my protein and fluid in but didn't matter what DH was having, I wasn't interested.  As long as you are getting your protein and fluid, you are fine.

Yippee!!!!   If you are feeling good and getting ALL of your Protein in take advantage of this time!  I've been on Maintenance a few years now and I still feel that way some days.

I'm only a few weeks out but I definately get hungry. I am transitioning to soft foods now and find that the protein helps but I still get a funny empty feeling in my tummy. I never used to allow myself to get "hungry" before because I ate all the time but I am pretty sure these are feelings of true hunger. I was not hungry in the beginning... I hope that spreading out my meals and getting my protein and liquids that I will rarely feel hungry.

Enjoy!

Cheese triangles might be worth keeping handy.  I find they're good if I want to take a NSAID and don't really want to eat anything (you shouldn't have NSAIDs on an empty stomach).

Also are you taking a PPI - some people find that helps with hunger.  Worth a try if you're not already on one.

I hope you work things out.
