Good Morning. TGIF -- rain and all

It's been a busy week and more on the horizon as a result. I'll ask you all for swinging lizards on the job front for me. New things may be coming down the pike very quickly but will probably stand people on their heads at my current work--I'm more than a little nervous about that. I'll let you guys know what's up as soon as I can.
We're going on "vacation" next week with the kids and a grand babies. I need to figure out how to be scarce some so I get some down time too. Hubby and sons will likely play golf a lot. That will leave me and the DIL with both little girls. So, what do you do with a group of gals between the ages of 7 months and 57 years? lol Your ideas and suggestions are welcome!
Whatcha got planned for today and the weekend? Y'all have a great Friday!

Yesterday the storms that came through were NASTY! My youngest had PT/OT and upon leaving those appointments the rain was a straight down poor. We need rain so I don't mean to complain. On our way home I had to duck our car in a car wash bay because we were getting nickle sized hail. This morning it is raining so I have to wait to spread poo. Of course that breaks my heart. NOT! LOL We have chiropractor ths morning and finishing up school shopping for my eldest daughter. Maybe that is why she made me corn muffins!??!
On your vacation see if there are any DS'ers where you are going and use meeting them for an excuse to sneak off. Then get some alone time after. I would also take a "date night" for you and hubby.
Don't know what to tell you about the vacation... I'd be in the same boat... Just enjoy them - but do try to find some downtime. Hope you have a great vacation!
I'm back in VA until the 24th - then head north again for Wynn's 2nd birthday party. I'll stay through Labor Day weekend then head back. Every time I go, I take a trailer load of stuff with me. I hope to take a LOT the next time.
Swinging critters for you for the job front. It's scary....

DH and DS are headed home today after a week with his sis and her GS, swimming and playing golf. He sounded ready to be home when we talked last night. My empty house will be full again for the weekend.
Nut appt today to discuss labs. I have added my D3 back but she will probably be happy with the 57. I'm not. While I am in Greenville I think I will go to the Mall and see if I can find some new bras to roll these babies up into.
I have a counter full of tomatos and probably more on the vine that need to come it. Wish I could send one to each of you. They are on my agenda for the weekend. We are in a rain every afternoon pattern and yesterday was a gullywasher.
Vacation, I don't have ideas but relax and enjoy.

I spent a couple hours at the shops today so I've got some excercites in. May go for a stroll in the afternoon, I think my stabbing pains may have been gas (not that I felt bloated at the time). So I think I need to make an effort to be active.
BTW it's a beautiful day in the London area (maybe a little too hot for the Olympic athletes).
All the best on the job front. You've sounded so positive and open to ideas in other posts, I'm sure your great attitude will see you right in no time! ;-)

I always have a book with me for my down time. Sometimes I just tell everyone I need a nap and go to a bedroom and read for a little while. My girls(DD, DIL & DGDs) all love to shop so that is what we usually do as a fun girl thing. When we are at the beach, we hang out by the pool. Of course when I'm around, the mommies like to take time off and let Grandma take over babysitting services - which I love to do!!
We are fixing to go to the mall and walk, then out to lunch, probably a nap, out to supper at a fish place my daddy wants us all to go to then we are going to watch old home movies tonight!!
Tomorrow is the big 40th high school reunion. I am nervous and looking forward to it both. Most of the people I have not seen in 40 years since I moved away. We have connected some on facebook, but not in person. Luckily, DH and my sister are going with me.
Hope you have a great time on your vacation.
Linda
As to vacation...depends on where you are...maybe shopping? The 7 month old will be easy enough to deal with, the one a bit older may not. You can't just put her in a stroller and PUSH!!! LOL The DIL will appreciate help tho. And walking is always a good thing. IF you get up early as usual, slip off and take a walk by yourself.

Awww, I missed your surgiversary post. I had to work both jobs yesterday, so I wasn't on here too long. I will have to go back and look for it -- Congrats on your surgiversary and your weight loss!!!!!!
Swinging lizards, cats, dogs and booty shaking for your job situation. . .

I like the pool plan for you, DIL and the kiddies, that's always fun. Yes, make sure you sneak away and get some "me" time for you!!!!
I am going to see one of our friends, a budding Nashvill star, play at a local Pub/Bar tonight. Maybe taking the kiddies to the shore over the weekend, and visiting with my girlfriend from California before her and the kids head back on Monday morning. Should be a nice weekend!!!!

With all of the merging of agencies our office was one of the few chosen not to be merged. Our Director is esctatic and so relieved. I feel bad for our clients and providers because of all of the cuts and added co-payments. They are already struggling and the state is making it harder on them.
I love going on vacation with my girls and their families but it can be tiring. I always take a book and usually my only down time is if I stay up late or get up early (which is probably your best shot...LOL). Most of the time I'm the one watching the grandbabies and my DD's and Hubbies are getting down time.
Have a great time and take some pictures to share......

Fingers crossed for you on the job front. I'm sure you have something exciting up your sleeve. This was my first full week back at work. My butts dragging and the kids don't even come bac****il next Wednesday.
Vacation...hmmmm, I say encourage lots of naps and then you can hide out and do your own thing or just veg.
I'm planning on enjoying the gorgeous weather this weekend. It was a balmy 78 degrees in St. Louis this afternoon. I had forgotten what anything less than 100 felt like. It just reminded me, I am so ready for fall.
Have a wonderful weekend!!!
