Well day 3, my hunger is gone, but my belly is gurgley. I'm feeling pretty good , I'm drinking an OZ of protein every 30 seconds and this is keeping my belly very full. I have acquired the lovely chest cough. I am using my sperometer to deep breath, and the hospital gave me a special teddy bear that fits my chest and belly so I can cough and breath deep. I'm still skeptical how this is going to work , I guess I'm traumatized by previous diet attempts. Well for you pre op sleeves, I almost backed out because I was scared of pain and being bed ridden for weeks. It couldnt be any more different . I have to make myself rest, and remember I had surgery. It is nice to be full after an oz. although that will change. They said my mature stomach will hold up to 4 oz. that's crazy I used to eat 16 oz steaks! Well I'll try not to ramble. I had VSG ON Aug 6, and I feel great!

Glad you're still doing OK.  BTW you have a sleeve not a pouch.  RNYers have pouches.

Glad you are recovering...make sure to get your fluids...it is an effort early on so it feels like you are sipping ALL DAY LONG!

My sleeve (DS'ers also have sleeves) was very gurgley early on...now it only does it once in a while or when I drink V8 juice.

Thanks! It does feel as I'm sipping all day . I started @ 530 this am and have only 15 oz in 3 hours! But I will drink my 64-96 I do not want dehydration . Plus walking to keep clots away and keep my chest clear .

Sounds like you are doing everything right!!

My pouch still only holds about 3 oz. of dense protein.  I think it's because I've always ate small meals every few hours.
