2 reasons: I didn't sleep well and when I'm awake, I graze.

Coming up on my 5 year surgiversary next week. How about that?!?!  It doesn't seem like it's been that long but it has. In so many ways I still feel like a newbie. lol

Ok, poll question for today. Other than protein shakes and bars, what is your go-to protein or low carb food?

I think my go-to food would have to be Greek yogurt. I eat it every day for second breakfast.

I've been having trouble sleeping the last two nights...my body aches from Thurs...and sitting in that hard chair all day long!

WOW, 5 years...doesn't seem that long either. Congrats.

As to my go to food...greek yogurt. I get a big container of plain and add my own flavors to it.

 Good morning Gina!

Since I've been in MI I've only had 1 night I woke up and hadn't been able to get back to sleep - it's SO quiet here!

Congrats on your 5 years!  How time flies!!

go-to protein or low carb food, huh?  Well, Greek Yogurt is one I like to play with -also been playing with lots of veggies lately too for the low carb.  I'm going to miss them when the season ends.

I'll share a dinner my daughter made the other night:  take a zucchini and hollow it up, sautee onions, green peppers, zucchini, sausage/hamburg and put in the hollowed out zucchini - top with cheese and bake (not sure how long) - these were awesome!  I'm sure you could put pretty much anything you want in it.

5 yrs is amazing.  thanks for still being here for us newbees (almost 2 yrs later).

I 'm meeting friends coming through town for breakfast at 10 which is way late for me so I just finished some baked cheese (nuked slices of a cheese stick).  Cheese sticks, edemama, plain cooked meat of just about any variety (leftover roast, hamburgers, chicken).  I've started eating cottage cheese again after a long absence but with a peach so then it isn't very low carb anymore.

Wow 5 years is great Gina.  Hope I'm doing as good as you in two more years.

I think my go to food changes.  I do greek yogurt for a while, then I'll do scrambled eggs with cheese, egg salad and pizza chips.

Nuts (honey roast cashews are my naughty treat that settles my sweet tooth - I've not had these post op yet) and cheese.  I had some yummy really soft almost runny blue cheese last night, cheese triangles and cheese thins (nuke for 40 seconds in the microwave).
