OT--I'm still around
I just wanted to let you guys know I'm still around and read this forum most days. I can't post at work, and don't get much of a chance to post in my evenings.
I have a new puppy (well we've had her for about a month). She's almost 4 months old, and we got her from a rescue organization. She's half yorkie and half shih tzu and is the cutest thing I've ever seen
. We named her Lil Peanut because that's what she was when we got her. She's still only 3 lbs. Right now she's in my lap, but most of the time when I get on the computer, she wants to be on the keyboard. This is the reason I don't post much anymore--I usually have to hold her to keep her off the keyboard.
I'm really enjoying her, but have essentially quit going to the gym because I'm in a hurry to get home to her. I am walking with her every day, but I can't call it a "good" workout. I'm hoping to find more of a balance in the future. Maybe I won't feel she's so needy when she's a bit older?
In the meantime, I think I'm in puppy love with her.
I haven't had a dog since my family had one when I was a teenager. Right now the time was right with our schedules.
I'm still getting lots of inspiration from your posts. Keep it up.

thank you for rescuing her. Sounds like you two are made for each other. I have a little min pin we rescued about 11 yrs ago. He has gained some independence and maybe yours will too. Or maybe not. they call the lap dogs for a reason.
