goodmorning everyone.  Im 8 days out of surgery and feel good.  Im 11 pounds down.   Im so tired of clear liquids, cant wait to move to the next phase.  Im "hungry",  I keep telling myself that cant be real, must be the head hunger.  I havent been getting my protein in, but in a couple days I can start drinking the protein shakes I bought from Costco.  Ive read those dont taste so bad.

thanks, so far so good, no regrets.....Robin

Focus on fluids for the time being...protein will be right behind in, hopefully a week or so but hydration is your primary concern at the moment.

And welcome to the Loser's Bench.

Congratulations on your surgery Robin and welcome to the Loser's Bench.

You can get samples of different types of protein from Vitalady.com if you want to try other kinds.  Don't give up on them if you don't like some just keep trying until you find one that is compatible with you.  It will make your life so much easier!!

Can't wait to watch your journey.

I remember being oh so ready for each diet phase change.  Everyone's taste is different and it changes over time.  I suggest getting a variety of samples, Unjury, Syntrax Nectars, etc and trying a bunch.  some folks like thin, some thick, some sweet, some not so sweet.  What suits you will be different than was suits others.  I personally didn't like any of the ready to drink kinds but did fine with powders.  the main thing is to find something that works for you.  Protein is so important, even if you don't like it, you need to take it like medicine.

Welcome to the loser's bench.  Looking forward to great updates on your changing life.

Thanks, I have been really focusing in getting enough to drink.  Seems like the water goes down easier with Crystal Light in it.

Its so weird though, if I watch somthing on food network, my mouth starts watering!!!! i have been changing the chnnels.

I knew the first month would be the hardest.   i keep telling myself I can do anything for a month, plus I stopped smoking 2 weeks before surgery, and dont ever want to start again.   Needless to say, Im a mess...lol   Thanks for letting me vent..Robin
