I would love to see some before and after pics of our lightweights... im hoping to have surgery in october. I see lots of pics that seem outdated but i would really like to see people like me. Anybody able to share?

Here is a link to my surgiversary post from Monday. It has my before and after pics. My before pic is from 2002 when I had my first WLS. It's funny. I find it hard to think of myself as a lightweight at 240 lbs but I guess that is what I was. In fact, at 44 years old it was the first time I ever hit a 40 BMI. I remember being worried that I wouldn't be heavy enough to qualify for surgery since I didn't have any comorbidities. I weighed about 230 lbs. By the time I had my surgery 2 months later I weighed 240 lbs and my BMI was already 42 so I had nothing to worry about.
Even though I regained to 220 eight years later I know that had I not had WLS I would have been at least 300 lbs by that point so the surgery was more of a success then it appeared on the surface.

Oh, thank you Dasie!! I look at this picture and can't believe that I let myself get in that shape and honestly had no idea how I really looked..
I love that there are so many of us that are further out that stay on this board and actively post. It sure helps me out.
