AMAZING Protein cake/bar recipe!

 I like anything Peanut Butter!  I don't have many of the ingredients that you listed so I'll be adding them to my grocery list.  I didn't like the PB2 and I regret getting rid of it. Do you know of any stores that sell it?

The only store that sells a version of PB2 that I know of is Wegman's.  But it's pricey.  I ordered a 1lb bag from Netrition for the same price of Wegman's 3.5 oz jar.

I found that these bars weren't overpoweringly peanut buttery tasting, that's probably because of the pumpkin pie spice.  Which was okay, but I won't add it next time.  I LOVE peanut butter or anything that tastes like it!  :0)

FYI, Watkins extracts are amazing and they have a ton of flavours including peanut butter.  I use them daily to spice up my protein ice cream.

I'll have to check out the Watkins.  I've never heard of Wegman's.  I'm going to try a few of our nutrition stores.  I might just try putting peanut butter in them.  I usually eat a TBS. every day anyhow.   I was making the flourless PB cookies but they are so dry that I don't really enjoy them.

The picture looks so "cakey" in texture... with only 2 scoops protein, baking powder and PB2 as the "flour"... Can't wait to try this! I love Watkins products, too.

Meg, I actually added a half scoop more protein powder and next time I'll add a full scoop more to up the protein even higher.  If you increase the protein powder just add a bit more almond milk, maybe a tablespoon or two.

It is quite cakey, it's not exactly moist like a brownie but it's not dry either. I think I baked mine too long though and will shorten the baking time for my next batch.

 These look great. I use plain old peanut flour I place of PB2 in recipes because it's much cheaper. I get it at Whole Foods.

I am afraid that these might call to me and I would over indulge.

I wonder if they could be made in a muffin top pan?

When I make anything tempting I wrap them individually and put them in the freezer.  If I can't just grab them I have a lot more control.

That's what I do too Roz.  And I only allow myself a "treat" once a day IF that.  And all my treats have to be "protein treats"
