Hello WL Friends,

Yes, sad to say the "Honeymoon Phase" is over!!  Had my life saving surgery 18 months ago and lately Ive noticed the pounds arent dropping off of the scale!!  It is now going to be harder to shed pounds.  Im going to have to rely on my protein!!  Thank goodness I reached a few pounds below goal in the process!!  Newbies, this honeymoon stage is very real!!  Any advice from the vets on how to proceed now that my honeymoon stage is over is appreciated!!!  Enjoy your day Everyone!!!!

Hey, S.S....

I'm trying to ignore that I may out of the "honeymoon phase" too...as long as my scale stays in a range I am happy with, I'm okay. But Gina is right...protein and low carbs.

Ditto. Protein and low carb.  For me exercise is just as important as the first two components.  Exercise helps raise my metabolism as well as my spirits.  Doesn't have to be anything fancy, walking will do.

I don't think we get the same honeymoon period with the Sleeve, but it certainly becomes easier to slip into snacking etc if not careful.

Hi Lee,

Thanks for your message!  It looks like protein and low carbs are the way to go!  Exercise is still up there with the protein and low carbs!

I'm wth you on this, Lee!  Exercise is just as important: not just the daily moving around that I do, but actually getting out and working up a sweat in different ways.
