Good Morning. Hoping for a normal week

I've missed my lovely rut. lol  I do so much better if I'm in my rut. We had a small storm last night but then I woke up to lower temps and a nice slow rain shower this morning. Very nice!  Going in to the office this week, so no more working from home with no walks and all the temptations in the kitchen. I do have support group tomorrow but I think that's all the non-routine for the workweek.

Here's hoping everyone has a great week with no "surprises".  Got plans?

 Hey Gina

I heard rumbles of thunder throughout the night, and yes, it was very nice to go out to cooler temps this morning, even though it is still quite humid.  Never thought I'd be so glad to see rain!  We definitely need it.  I'm looking forward to turning the A/C off.  I'm one of those folks...

I got back into my routine here at work - came in early and got my exercise in.  I've started incorporating weights after my cardio, so that's something new for me.

I'm getting back on track this morning.  I woke up with the resolve that I HAVE to do it.  I'm not doing myself any favors by ignoring what I'm doing regarding my regain.  I've considered Weigh****chers to make me even more accountable (because I'll have to pay MONEY), but decided I'm going to do it the right way and go back to OUR basics.

I'm going to start tracking again.  One thing I have done is stopped eating out so much.  I've been bringing my lunches to work.  Cuts out the bad calories and saves me a ton of money!

Ok - gotta get to work.

Routine helps here too...

However, we have two days of non-routine...one is the Do It Herself class at Home Depot...that's tomorrow night. And then I have an appt with my pcp this week to get a shot and to discuss my extremely painful hands (I have arthritis but this is beyond what it should be).

I miss my rut also!!  It makes me worry about retirement - oh well - guess I'll have to find other things to fill my time!!

I forgot my blender bottles this morning and DH was already in town so he didn't want to go all the way home and get them.  I had gotten this free Fit & Fresh Portable Drink Mixer so I put batteries in it and got a cup and mixed my protein drink with it.  Worked pretty good, but I really like my protein drinks in my blender bottle because of the smell.

I need to get back to the exercise.  I've not done any since last Wednesday.  I brought my clothes to run this afternoon - hoping it is not over 100 here.  It is already hot and humid this morning.

Gotta get to work - still working on closing out the year and have board meetings this week...

We got some decent rain(but not real stormy) here in Baltimore last night and today.  I was happy to see it, my plants were screaming.

I started a new job last Monday and am still in orientation.  I am going to be working on a bariatric post op unit which I am very excited about.  I am intimidated though, I have been doing psych for many years and only have a little med/surg experience.  I will start on the unit on Wed, right now I am still in the class room learning policy and procedures-very bleh....
