Electric's back on and my computer startting working again too....YEAH!  It has been one exciting day!

Thank You for your Prayers and all of the swinging critters!

My sister is doing better and we are happy that our local hospital transported her to one of the Pittsburgh hospitals. They cut one of her bowel ducts while taking her gall bladder out and they haven't been able to repair it to stop the drainage.  She has been terribly sick and miserable.  She has drain tubes in but there are still pockets of bowel in her stomach.  Hopefully the new Drs. are able to repair it.

SIL and Brothers have one tree almost cut up and the big stuff hauled away.  Half of the tree is still standing and we are going to have to get it pulled out.  The one down in the front yard broke off at the bottom and they are going to work on it tomorrow.  They will make good firewood.  The other 2 were across the road so the Township took care of them.  Houston is pretty upset over his swing set being crushed and his trampoline bent out of shape.  DSIL just bought Raegan a new wooden swing/cabin set for $900.00 and it is in laying in pieces from their house to the neighbors down the hill.

Losing these trees is devastating to my DH.  When we bought this house we bought it for the property and trees and just took the house with it. We are so thankful that they fell along side of the house instead of on it and that no one got hurt but we are really going to miss the shade.  DH spends many many hours relaxing under them on this porch swing (which was spared)

The Pittsburgh news was out and filmed the trees and interviewed DH and our SIL.  Pictures were on at 6 and the interviews are going to be on at 11:00.  I'm glad our electric is back on so we can watch.

I hope tomorrow is calmer!

I'm so glad things are getting back to normal.  I live on the Gulf, and losing trees when the hurricanes come through is devastating.  Last years drought ravaged a park where my husband and I do most of our walking.  The park lost hundreds and hundreds of trees - so much lo it does not look the same.  Your property must be beautiful.  Thank God for electricity too.

Hopefully your homeowners insurance will cover you losses and you are so lucky your family is all ok.  We have lost parts of trees here but basically our house was built in a cow pasture so there weren't any trees until we started planting.  Now we finally have some shade and I know it is precious and you hate to lose it.
So glad they moved your sister.  Just shows us that any surgery, even something as often done as gall bladder can go wrong.  Hopefully they will get her fixed up too and feeling better.
Prayers are with you and hopes for dull boring days ahead.

I saw your pictures on Facebook - WOW!  Such devastation.

I'm glad everyone is ok.  It's hard to lose such beautiful trees.

I'm glad they moved your sister and hopefully the new doctors can get her fixed up.  Praying for her.  When DS had his appendix out they nicked his intestines and he got really sick, it took weeks for them to figure out what had happened but were able to get him fixed up with very strong antibiodics - this was years ago.

I am glad no one was hurt when the trees fell and they didn't fall on your house.  I didn't get on much yesterday and missed all this.

When we bought our house it was in a pecan orchard and we had them all cut down and planted Bartlett Pear Trees - they grown very quickly if you are looking at replacing some shade.
