Rise n' shine, y'all!  Time to pick all your brains...what are some of your favorite cell phone apps and what are they good for?

Right now all I have is solitaire, MyFitnessPal, a bar code scanner, Google maps and a mixed drink app, and I have a phone with all the bells and whistles.   Give me some ideas, please and thank you. :)

Has nothing to do with weight loss but Raindar shows the local radar where ever you are.  I'm hoping someone will post what they use to measure their runs.  I didn't download it when they posted the options before.

We finally got some rain last night, storms but not horrible and boy did we need the moisture.  My grass was getting crunchy.  Need to work Chili this morning, then meetings this afternoon, maybe a swim.

Hope you have a great birthday, Gina.

I use MapMyRun (they also have MapMyRide and a couple others) for tracking my runs. I used to use Endomondo, which I actually preferred, but I earn points that I've been donating for charities on a website, earndit.com , and MMR syncs with them where endomondo doesn't, so I get more points with MMR.

Facebook, 4Square (I'm in a battle with DD and SIL's roommate to see who gets to the gym more often on that one), Fighting Words (a Words with Friends clone for Blackberry), MLB's app for the Chicago White Sox, Weather Channel... think that's about it.

Here are the ones I like the best:

MapMyRun - to track my runs/walks.
Kindle - I can read my Kindle books on my iphone if I don't have my Kindle with me.
Facebook
Solitare
Angry Birds - Game I'm not any good but the Granddaughters love it
Unblock Me - Game
Words with Friends - I'm addicted to this game
Spotlight - makes your phone into a spotlight if you are in the dark very useful.
Tango - can use this like Facetime if you are not in a wireless situation if the other person has it also.

I have my music playlist on my phone so I can run/walk with it.

I have others but these are the ones that I really use the most.

My fav is Pedometer Free.  It tracks steps, distance, time, miles hiked, MPH etc.  It's easy to stop the clock and start it again when I go out for a second walk of the day.

I like CityWalks when I'm away from home and want to find fun walks to do.
