No big plans but we'll likely cook out and have the kids and grand babies over. After dark we'll gather with our neighbors and shoot fireworks off. We have some not-so-legal fireworks Son#2 picked up on his trip through PA and we have 2 or 3 neighbors on surrounding streets who have have mortars for their fireworks. Might not be the capital fireworks but all good and no crowds.

happy birthday, Roz. Hope it is a great one.No plans here. My father died on the 4th many many years ago and I have never celebrated it much. DS will be at camp that week so it will just be the 2 of us and we are pretty boring.
Everyone keep your pets in that night. July 5 is Shelter's busiest day because of runaway pets from the fireworks. Keep those babies safe.

Heading to Michigan. I'll be coming back on the 4th, so not sure if there'll be much celebrating that day.
I'm trying to get up to Michigan today - not sure how that's going to work out. The ex will be coming to my daughters (where I stay) for the weekend, and quite frankly, I want some 1-1 time with her and Wynn before he gets there. Then he can have her and I'll head north for some R&R.

Right now our only plans for the 4th are to have an employee of DH and his family come for swim and BBQ. We might end up inviting DH brother and wife but I think because its smack dab in the middle of the week and we all have to go to work the next day it will be a small affair.

My big plan for the 4th is to RUN the Peachtree Road Race!! I'm so excited. It is suppose to be really hot that day so lots and lots of water needed. After that I'll head back to my neices house and then back home late that afternoon because I have to work the next day....
