just for Fun Friday

It's Friday again and it's hot most places

1.  What is your favorite way to deal with the heat?

2.  What is your favorite thing to eat when it is hot?

3.  How do you deal with cooking in the heat?

1.  I am up early and try to get my outside stuff done before it gets to hot.  That means driving a pony early and anything I may have to do in the garden.  If I take the dogs for a walk, it has to be right after the pony or it is too hot for them.  The heat doesn't bother me like it used to when I was heavy.

2.  I don't seem to change my eating much because of the heat.  I do have more veggies because they are in the garden but  my protein stays about the same.  Blueberries are in right now and I have been eating those but trying to not have tons of fruit because of the carbs.  I've rediscovered cottage cheese.  With blueberries and some vanilla SF syurp and sweetner, it's pretty good.

3.  Air conditioning.  I don't have an outside grill.  My range is a Jen Aire that has a grill so I grill all year inside.  I don't use the oven as much as it does seem to heat up the house more that the range does.

1. What is your favorite way to deal with the heat?
I head outside and jump in the pool for a few minutes. Im mostly working now so I have no clue anymore.

2. What is your favorite thing to eat when it is hot?

Watermelon of course :)

3. How do you deal with cooking in the heat?
I tend to do more "cold" dishes for the kids and if we cook it is mainly outside. I have even been canning outside on the grill too. Gets so hot in the house.

1.  What is your favorite way to deal with the heat?  Drink lots and lots of fluids.  I sweat more now than I probably ever have in my life.

2.  What is your favorite thing to eat when it is hot?  Salads - love them!!

3.  How do you deal with cooking in the heat?  I just turn the AC down-LOL!!  We actually don't grill as much in the summer because it is so hot out on our deck-the sun blazes down on it in the afternoon.

1. What is your favorite way to deal with the heat?   I prefer to be in the mountains, where it is cooler.  DH loves airconditioning, so it's on even when I don't think it's necessary.

2. What is your favorite thing to eat when it is hot?   Salad with fish, tomatoes, cheese, and what ever produce is in the fridge.

3. How do you deal with cooking in the heat?  Quick salads.

1) I like to go somewhere with AC like the mall or movies. Or just to my bedroom that has a window AC unit.

2) I don't have a favorite when it's hot food. The heat tends to make me lose my appetite and also I concentrating on drinking a lot which fills me up.

3) Mr. Mac does all the cooking so I don't deal with it at all. LOL

1. What is your favorite way to deal with the heat?

I go ice skating and use THEIR AC!  Or I go up to the boat and float in the water on a floatie.  I hate heat!!  If it's a run/walk day, I go early to try to avoid the heat and humidity.

2. What is your favorite thing to eat when it is hot?

And when it's cold - chocolate!  Although when it's hot, I like very cold chocolate, as in ice cream or almost frozen protein shakes.

3. How do you deal with cooking in the heat?

Mostly DH grills outside.  We also do a lot of crock pot cooking so that dinner is ready when we come home from the boat.  Our grill has two side burners, so we can cook pots of things as well as grill without heating up the kitchen.
