Good Morning, LWs. What's cooking besides us?
They are frustrating aren't they
My DH has the worse habits and I am powerless to change them. I cook meat and veggies and he adds toast and jelly and desert.

I joined an organic farm coop, where you pay upfront for shares of organic fruit and vegetables for the entire summer. It's been great - I've dramatically increased the produce eaten by DH and me, and the quality is so much better than in the stores. That has inspired me to be eat a lot more fish etc.
I still drink a ton of milk and eat a lot of cheese- my grandmother lived on a dairy farm, and her cooking habits were handed down from her to my mother to me.
Keep out of the heat and stay hydrated!!

Not at the moment...not doing anything interesting. My garden was a bust...guess I don't have daddy's green thumb. And we never remember to buy at the farmer's market cause we always seem to miss them.
Anyway, I made meatloaf using my mother's recipe the other night...part was frozen for later and some is being re-run.
I have a much easier time than most of you as dh eats the same way I do.

I've been eating more vegetarian while including beans like lentils and occassionally rice. My skinny family finds that they are hungry earlier and they are reaching for the junk. It's great for me, not for them. So now adding chicken, fish or meat to what I am making. I wish I had a good option to get organic, grass fed meat. Trader Joes and Costco seem to be my only suppliers. Where are you getting yours? ARe you getting it online?

Our farmers market is open from Jun to late Sep and that's where I've been getting the grass fed beef. I need to figure out how to get the meat when the farmers market is closed.

That meatloaf sounds good. I haven't fixed that in a long time. Might have to do it this weekend. DH has gotten so bad about eating junk since he retired. He had potato chips last week - I finally told him if he buys them again he needs to put them somewhere so I can't see them.
When I cook something if it is not meat and veggies, he sometimes wont' even taste it - very aggravating.
I need to hit our farmers market.
