I too started drinking diet pop again... not sure if it contributes to me having bad eating habits or not... I didn't think so. But I've started getting into the candy here at work.. eating out lunch everyday, etc. Just bad habits I need to get out of. No candy yesterday and I brought my lunch. Today though, we will order out - but NO candy! I also tend to like to eat the Pringles Lite - but geez, at the grocery stores yesterday they were $3.25 a can - that's ridiculous! I didn't buy them - I really need to leave them out of my diet.
Now - I did pick up veggies - mostly zucchini and celery. I'm going to chop the celery up and have it handy to grab for a quick snack, and bring some to work with me.
Oh - I remember when my malabsorption quit - a reality check! Get back into good eating habits NOW before the weight regain starts... at least you are acknowledging what's going on and not waiting for it to kick you in the butt! I got a bit ****y with mine and didn't think I was doing anything wrong and just kept doing the bad stuff until one day the scale jumped like 4 lbs - ouch! Its gone up some more since and its a constant struggle to try and get it down. I need to start drinking my protein drinks again.
Welcome back - you're definitely NOT alone in this struggle and we have quite a few people on this board who are in maintenance now. There's also a Maintenance thread every week that Linda is sponsoring. You might want to check it out.

Easiest way is to not have any junck in the house to snack on...that way it's a consious effort to have it.
I know Lean Cuisine's are easy, esp for work but check the ingredient label carefully. Most have a rice or pasta base to make the meat go further. They are also high on the sodium list. Better method, make your own. :)

I am doing a weekly maintenance post - go back and look at it this week - there were some great ideas on there. There is a large group of us now in maintenance and it is a lot harder than the losing phase. We have to stick together and help each other out. Slipping back into our old habits is so easy.
Gina mentioned that Roz still does the Menus and Miles each day. Liz(SouthernLady) does a weekly weigh in post on Sundays that really helps us be accountable week by week for our weight whether it is up or down!!
Glad you came back to us and let us know if we can help you.

I still have my malabsorbtion, but need to keep up with those who are further out. I have some days that I go into a feeding frenzy on carbs, and I need to learn how to control that NOW. I'm using Roz's menus and miles and Liz's Sunday weigh in to help me be accountable to everyone on the list. Having every bite that goes into my mouth visible is making me do a little better.
