I just want to say thank you for inviting me to the Light Weight board. I have had several not so nice comments on my weight on the main forum. I saw  another lady on there with my same starting weight, she commented on the same thing. "not much support, and some mean things" were said.
I immediatley told her about you ladies and gentleman and how wonderful you are and you've never commented on my weight, only my issues. I just want to say ,Thank you. You have become my support group and online family. I love how you post your meals, success and struggles and give advice. I am truly greatful for you ladies who found me on the forum and told me to come over here. I hope this other gal takes my advice and comes to the light weight board also. I can't wait to be able to give POST OP news, I know you'll all be there!

What a nice note.  I also like that each person is an individual here, with their own struggles.  Some of them are similar to other people's struggles, and we all try to learn from each other, but in the end each person's weight loss journey is unique

Thanks.  We try to reach a balance of being nice but being real at the same time.  I know, for me, I don't have a local support group and this has been my sounding board.  Coming up to 2 years this fall makes me seem like a vet but the journey continues and I'm sticking around for help through it.  Plus we love having you newbees and following your journey.  I well remember posting everyday on mile and menus my boring 4 week optifast diet before surgery.  I know these ladies thought I was crazy but they were supportive through the whole thing.

Thank you!  I love the LW's!!!!!

Price is right we LOVE newbies!     If it weren't for all of the newbies who would I share my vast amount of challenges and info with....LOL?  You are the ones that keep me going everyday through your WOWs, questions, trials, and even errors.

The hardest part for me to understand  is when you get to mainteance and leave us.  I think maintenace is the hardest part and that's the worse time to try and do it without support.  Being successful would be hard for me without posting every day and being accountable to all of my LW's.

Encourage your friend to join us!

Nikki, I havent heard your story and would love to hear it!  Tell me about you and your weight loss and surgery choice!  I have not had surgery yet and I am a light weight also.  I have noticed the same thing in the main forum. If I ask a question... ANY question it's like people question me and make me feel stupid.  That has never happened in here.

Welcome.   We love questions and the only dumb one is the one you don't ask.  We have all been there done that and can show our scars, well, you get the point.

Hi Nikki, Been on this board after suffering much abuse at another board. They seemed to think they had all the answers and when I insisted on respecting my doctors and their advice I was told that I would be sorry and begging them for help and that my doctor was only a cutter with no nutritional education. At two years now I feel great! The folks here on this board have given my much support and I love them all!
