Good Morning. For me, organization and routine are key

Has anyone been asked, "how do you do it"?  You know me, I always have an opinion...

Get yourself organized:
Put your protein powders in the same place so you trip over and fall on your face every morning--you won't forget your protein coffee.
Put your vitamins in batches so that you see them dancing before your eyes when the alarm on your phone goes off reminding you that you are SUPPOSED to be taking your vitamins right now. The bigger your sorting requirement is the more your vitamin batches will dance before your eyes. Some sort out 6 months worth--that's DWTS worthy IMO!
Establish a routine:
You know those shock collars they put on dogs to keep them in the yard? Imagine you're wearing one of those and when you get off your routine you get a painful shock! WOW!!!

LOL, y'all have a great Thursday. Got some tricks to share that keep you on the straight and narrow?

You so rock, Gina! I've made all of my vites and protein powders convenient for me and my routine. After we go back through Foster to Adopt courses again I'll have to secure my vitamins so they wont be so convenient. Guess I'll be starting a new routine soon.

Routine makes all of mine possible.  Morning and evening vits are right after getting up, right before going to bed.  Kind of like taking glasses off and putting glasses on.  Noons are at the computer so I have to trip over them, so to speak.  I don't know if I would drink coffee without protein these days it is so normal to me.  Regular coffee/decaf seems very naked.
One of my other routines is to drink before eating.  I don't eat breakfast, lunch or afternoon if I haven't had 20oz of fluid.  These days it is much more than that cause I am using huge tumblers full and most of the time it is a protein drink, lemon tea or caribean cooler which ensures my fluid and my protein.

Routine, routine routine!

Every day after I get home from school, I make my shakes for the next day so I can grab-and-go from the fridge. I also measure out my fruits and veggies for the next day.

Once a week or so (depends on how long it take me to go through them) I make a stack of 10 yogurt/protein/preserves tubs, again so I can grab and go in the morning.

Every Sunday during the school year, and every Tuesday during the summer (we're on the boat or camping a lot on weekends... easier if I move my sorting day!) I portion out all my supplements and vitamins for the next week. I have 3 big weekly vitamin cases, and 6 little am/pm cases. One big case is my first dose - multi, all the B vits, antihistamine. One big case is the evening dose - multi, iron, C, antihistamine. The biggest case of all holds my 4 calcium doses, 8 mag ox, D, selenium, dry A, and stool softener. Each day when I do the shakes and fruits/veggies, I take the next days calcium et al and transfer it into 2 of the am/pm cases, one calcium, 2 mag ox, and one of the other things, and keep those cases in my pocket all day so that they're with me and easy to take. (the extra to am/pm cases are for those days when, for whatever reason, I need to put my first and last doses into a case. They're all color coded).

If we're going camping, I have 1/2 cup tubs that each get a scoop of protein and something for flavor - 1/2 a crystal light stick, a smidge of SF pudding mix. Then I stick a very small post it on the lid that tells me what SF syrup goes with it (I started that after having vanilla protein with strawberry CL and putting in hazelnut syrup by mistake!). Every afternoon, I grab 2 tubs out of the bag and mix the next day's shakes.

I use a camelbak water bottle, 24 oz. I have 2 mini s-biners on the handle. The top one has 8 colored jump rings on it. Every time I refill the bottle, I transfer a ring to the bottom s-biner. My body works best on 7-9 bottles a day, unless we're on the boat on a hot day and then I may go as high as 15 bottles. The rings look cute, and keep me on track for what I've done.

It's rigid. It's regimented. And it works for me.

It's not an option for me to do otherwise - I'd get way off track, and gorge on junk.  I'm glad I finally figured that out.

I love waking up to your sense of humor....I love hearing how everyone organizes everything.  My SIL uses a shock colar on their dog and it's so sad but boy does he listen after a little reminder.

I took all of my supplements yesterday!!  I also filled my pill containers so I'm good to go for a couple of weeks.  This weekend I'm going to buy some more containers.  Finding time to fill them is the hardest part.

I never skip my protein unless something out of the ordinary comes up.  I actually crave them during the day so skipping them is not option even if I have to run to a local Vitamin store to buy some.

God is walking with me every step of the way. Because of HIM this is possible!!

Good  morning all!!

I must confess, I am not the one that organizes, ask DD.  I do take my vitamins, it's just part of my nature.  I'm back on protein coffee.  Trying to watch the carbs.   But I must say your posts have inspired me again (which is what i need.)   I think I'm going back to meal planning and make sure I have healthly snacks to keep me out of trouble.

Fighting every minute of every day!!!  I'm declaring WAR!!!  I can beat this!

I have to get protein tonight!!!!! No option. I'm drinking coffee w choc protein today -- it's ok but not my roadside lemonade and my stomach is letting me know! Too funny.

I hv a vitamin case I fill each week and keep in my bag. I get out what I need each morning and put it on my protein container by my pc. I hv my mini blender in the cupboard w the protein. It's usually portioned out in 1.5 scoop containers. Rubbermaid has nice 1/2 c I think??? Love them. Protein bars and nuts are beside protein for grab n go!

I think we are all warriors!!!!!!
