Ok, be honest, what do you need to get rid of? Do you have cookies and chips or regular sugar in your cabinets? What are you saving them for?  Really!?!?!

List of things to throw out and NOT replace:
regular pancake syrup
oatmeal cookie dry ingredients -- gift several Christmases ago
Karo syrup
an old bottle of molasses
an even older jar of honey
frozen yeast bread dough
bread crumbs--probably stale anyway
several boxes of regular Jello

I would be in divorce court if I though out the regular sugar, pancake syrup and honey.  Those, and regular Mayo are near and dear to DH's heart.  Kind of like the regular jelly/jam.  Luckily he is ok with low fat cottage cheese, cream cheese, other cheeses, sour cream.  But there sure is a bunch of stuff I need to thow out that isn't necessarily related to WLS at all.  Or re-home.  Like maybe the bread maker.  It takes up a ton of room and when am I going to make bread again?  And I really need another coffee pot.  I am sick of the little french press thing to make my decaf.  I think I will look today for something then I will have to get rid of something on the counter to make room for it.

Price,
I love my Keurig Coffee Maker.  We never drink a full pot so it is perfect for us.  Plus DH drinks regular and I drink Decaf.  We can have a cup anytime we want to.

My cupboards look like Old Mother Hubbards... when I moved in I had NO groceries - and only bought the minimum.  Ivowed I was not going to fill them up with a bunch of stuff I'd throw away later.  The only thing I have in my cupboards that's a treat are the Pringles that are made with Olean.  Low fat and low calories.  They're my treat every once in awhile.  The Olean doesn't seem to bother me either.  I usually have Wheat Thins too but I've been able to talk myself out of them at the store the past few times.

My freezer has a LOT of stuff in it I bought when I first got here and really need to start cooking up - chicken breasts and Tilapia.  I also have some Tysons breaded chicken in various flavors that I'm not too keen on eating again since I had a sugar episode one day.

I ate the Heath Bar chips a couple of weeks ago :-(
Time to throw out the
  butterscotch chips
crushed peppermint candies I got for Christmas 2 years ago
  brown sugar
Ghiradelli dark chocolate chips (perhaps this will take more will power than I have)
frozen homemade jelly from who knows when...
a couple of old cake mixes
the leftover peach cobbler that I made earlier this week for my son, who is leaving today.

I'll bite!
I use honey/molasses once in a while although inhale Splenda and sugar too.
I don't sweeten my coffee when I drink it (coffee to me is a social experience that I enjoy drinking by a friend - and I'm not talking filtered or coffee-maker!) My protein powdered (big canisters) drinks are too sweet for me. I do use honey or molasses when I bake which is only a few times a year.
I have not gotten to normal BMI weight. I am 5ft tall and at my highest weight was 270lbs so BMI I think was 51. I now weight just under 170lbs and unfortunately I'm still the same height so my BMI is 32-32 depending on which search-engine I log into.
I never want to ever feel emotionally deprived from food. I do not count calories. I calculate my grams of protein and try to stay away from pastas, rice and most doughy products (barekas, malawach, -sorry guys you'll have to google those!). I prefer now to enjoy my protein with salad or cooked veggies.
I still eat ice cream and chocolate. I unfortunately still graze-but on sunflower seeds and not potato chips. Even after four and a half years I wish I could allow myself to indulge? I do-once a month.
My problem is if I eat out on the Sabbath meals and how I choose which foods are served.and what I choose to buy when shopping which is why I try to only go once a week.
So, no I do not agree with removing all foods that I should not eat. I do have
guests once in a while. And I like to have food in my home. I know I did not make enoug cognitive changes but I fo think I am more aware and accountable for my eating choices.

I would not even know where to begin!!!  DH wants me to throw out everything.  He hates that I keep everything and hate to throw away food.

I do have a collection of different types of crackers and wraps that I have purchased over the last several months to see which I like best.  Some of these probably need to go.

I have cooked chicken in my freezer that he even put in a Walmart bag and asked if he could throw it away - I said no....  I never take it out and use it though.

I keep real sugar but it doesn't bother me so I'm ok.  My kids won't drink tea sweetened with splenda or anything else except sugar.  We have real Mayo because DH hates the lite.  That doesn't bother me because I like the lite better.

Chips, cheeze-its, cake and ice cream I can't have in my house.  Of course he loves them and wants them there all the time. We have none of those items right now.

I've got to postpone cleaning my cupboards until DD and family move out (which might be the end of August now) but then I'm going to have some pretty bare cupboards (and bedrooms and closets)! My house is going to seem so big!

I made them put Houston's candy and treats where I can't reach them without climbing on a chair or stool. I'm OK with sugar, cereal, and pancake syrup so those can stay for awhile. I only use sugar subs and SF syrup. There is an open bag of Honey BQ chips that have been tempting me but I've been winning the battle. Thank goodness for popcorn!
