HI again, I read your page and I guess even though I'm pre op, What I have learned is to use Fitness Pal and go back to the pre op stage, count everything , up your protein, lower carbs and I'm sure you're doing this or have tried, but most important maybe find some people here to be honest with everyday and post your meals everyday, sometimes maybe... a little support here along with eating and exercising will get you on the down slide again! Good luck
Hi and welcome to the LW Board.
What type surgery did you have and when. Lots of people have stalls at different times.
Are you logging all your food intake? Sometimes if I don't post my food and I try to think back for the entire day what I had, it is really easy to forget something that I ate. Do you do protein drinks? If RNY are you drinking with your meals? Lots of questions!!!
Good luck and let us know if we can help you.

Welcome to our LW board!!
I've found that when I was in the losing stage if I increased my Protein Drinks for 3 days and then dropped back down I would start losing again. It worked for me everytime I was in a stall.
Also I realized that during the stall is when I lost the most inches. I don't understand that but it's true.

thanks everyone. i completed day 5 of the 5 day pouch test and today when weighed in for the final time had gone back up 2 lbs.
oh well, that is me.
It keeps me in the up down area i was trying to get out of.
I am starting the test again all over starting tomorrow.
today i have had a protein drink, homemade summer yellow squash soup (1 cup) and 1 cup of baked sweet potatoe with nothing on it.
hoping that another week of the test will get me started again.
was doing so good until the weigh in after the 5 days....actually thought i was gonna get down under the up down area i have been in now for 12 weeks as each day on the test i was losing a little. but guess it wasn't to be.

Well, if you're determined to do the 5 day pouch test...
How about you reconsider how you consider your weight?
It sounds like you're weighing daily anyway. Instead of counting your weight on day 6, which could be up for any of a number of reasons, average your weight across the 5 days. See if your average goes down.
That's how I handle my weight every day. Otherwise I'd freak out about a pound up here or a pound down there, but the averaging smooths out the bumps and is, really, a more accurate overall weight because you're not looking only at the days you retained water or other things.
