You have always been a hero to me because you hung in there, no matter how slow and just kept fighting those pounds.

I've always said I didn't do this to be on a diet for the rest of my life.  but regain isn't an option either.  I have to come to grips with reality and make it normal.  I may have to find my old WW card.  I was a life member back in the 80s.

Hi Price, I have been on a diet at least 6 out of 7 days for the last year.  The first year it was 7 days a week.  I didn't want to be on a diet either but the reality is that for me I need to or I make less than optimal choices and gain immediately.  The way I figure it is that I was on a diet since the age of around 7.  That's a lot of years.  At least now I get to be on a food plan that helps me stay in my size 6-8 jeans.  I would rather fight this battle from where I am today than at 249.8.

Weigh****chers really helps me a lot.  I use our bariatric food plan, but going to the support meeting and committing to weighing in at least 2x a month in Lifetime works for me.  I have never been a lifetime member before.  Now it's all free so why the heck not do it.  I need the accountability.

I never got as low on the scale as you shorties but I'm the lowest weight I've been since Junior High school and I'll take it.  I feel healthy and vibrant so I'm going with it.  I'd like to shed another 5 but not willing to make myself crazy doing it.

I have so much respect for you Price!!!  :)

(((HUGS))). Lee, you have always been inspirational to me, because of your tenacity and strength. Kudos to you for working so hard. When I have a bad day or see my weight creep up, I always think of you and how hard you have had to work for every single pound. It is quite amazing and it actually helps me to get back on track.

Wow Gail!  That is the nicest thing I've heard in forever!  I hope that you will come hike with me one of these Friday's!  We have two great hikes up in the redwoods that I have been doing 4x a week, or as often as I can get someone to go with me.  One is 5.5 miles of hills and the other is 7.7 with an added big hill.  There are a couple of miles of warmup, then cooldown at the end that is lovely.  I do it on the weekends as well.  I hope you'll join in when you're able!!

I would love to go on a hike with you and the other gals. I don't know, if I would be able to keep up, but I would be willing to give it a try. I know you are going on vacation, and probably by the time that you return, I'll be gone for 2 weeks during the last two weeks of June. I'll have to practice in the meantime. LOL!

Take Care,

Gail

We can plan for July, and of course you'll keep up!  We took Bonne today for her first time. She did fine.

Price, even though I don't have the malabsorption, the pounds can definitely sneak up on one. I think that you will control this and be able to get back into your range. Food tracking is my friend and I have never stopped doing it on a daily basis, because if I stop, the weight will come back on. It always came back in the past, when I stopped tracking and weighing myself on a daily basis.

Now, that you can exercise more, this will definitely help, especially, if you do some weight training. Building lean muscle mass is your friend and will help your metabolism. This will help you to control your weight.

I have always admired the way that you have dealt with the WLS and your ensuing knee surgeries. You will figure this out.

Thanks and because of the support from all of you, I know I can do it also.  Tracking and exercise.  I know what to do, just got to stay on track.
