got my DATE!!! woop woop
Yay, my surgery date is 7.2.12! I can't believe i have an actual date!!!
We went camping this weekend with many friends and family! I was so excited when we all got together because I had just left the surgeons. I was surprised by some of their responses! Jeepers. Less than supportive. But I'm not going to let it get me down. My husband is supportive, my sister/brother/mother, and my good friends. I have a feeling this process may weed out my true friends from the not. I guess now is as good as as a time as ever
. I'm doing this for me first and my kids second. no one else. I'm an awesome person and want to "feel" awesome about myself. This has been a long and emotional process and I HAVE A FLIPPIN DATE!!!!
!!!!
Anywho, my surgeon consult was kind of weird. To the point, informative. I found out the only pre-op liquid diet I have to do is the 24 hour period before. Then of course the post op diet, which sounds bearable. I thought I'd post my diet here from my hospitals website.... it's cool... http://www.urmc.rochester.edu/hh/services-centers/bariatrics/bariatric-diets.cfm
so yay... on my way!

hurray. I was so excited, I would have jumped through even more hoops. Congrats.
Even though you don't have a pre-op diet, I'd suggest going on and decarbing and decaffing and start not drinking with your meals. It's so much easier now that having everything hit at once. Get plenty of fluid. You will be in great shape. the post-op phases will be fine. You won't be hungry and although 1/4c sounds like nothing, you will be full. Maybe some head hunger but that's all.
Your on your way.
Hang on for quite a ride.

Congrats on getting your date!
Keep yourself busy and you'll be in the hospital before you know it! I'm six weeks out and it was interesting to see what your hospital is telling you about post surgery eating. Thanks for sharing.

Congratulations!!
