Our family went to the Veterans Day Parade this morning. We are celebrating the holiday and DGD's 7th birthday with a cook out

Hi Roz,
We went out to eat lunch with my parents.  They all wanted to go to a buffet place so that is where we went.  I hate buffets now.

B:  Protein Decaf coffee
Pre-Run: 1/2 graham cracker, peanut butter
After Run: 1/2 banana
S:  Lemon Tea Protein Drink
L:  Buffet - Parts of Chicken Thigh, Catfish, Spare Rib Bite of Mac & Cheese - I avoided the dessert bar!!
S:  Lemon Tea Protein Drink
D:  Pork Roast, Turnip Greens, Black eye peas
S:  Protein Drink - Not sure what kind yet

Vitamins:  Morning Done
Water/Fluids:  100 ozs so far
Miles:  5 Mile Run this morning

We did a chinese buffet last night.  I try to just do the protein, shrimp, oysters, chicken and only allow a teaspoon or 2 of anything with a sauce, but it still adds up.  And I do a bite of 2 deserts so there you go, too much food.  I understand.  It sounds like it should work, just never quite does.  I have no will power.

I knew I could not even walk over to the dessert buffet or I was done!!  I don't have much willpower when it comes to sweets and I have to eat a good many before it affects me.

s:  1/2 cup cottage cheese & apple sauce
s:  cheese & crackers (I get up around 3, so I often have 2 snacks)
l:    sweet potato, squash  and baked salmon
d:   yogurt


** I ate 4 fig newtons....I HATE to admit that, but I did.
Once the sun goes down, I will walk my 3 or 4 miles.  Yesterday was the first day I was able to complete my route, and I was happy about that.

Trying to do a way low carb day today after all the watermelon and food over the weekend.  I was up 2 lbs this morning and that isn't the direction I want to go.  I drove Chili, walked a mile with the dogs and have gotten some paperwork done.  It is pretty quiet with the guys playing golf and I have to take advantage of it.

It's been crazy around here with TS Beryl, our lights went out around 930 last night and are finally back on !  Still raining :(
