What is clearing gas?    For a period of time I was lactose intolerant post op.  The strange thing is the only dairy that bothers me is ice cream.  I do not dump, never have, but when I eat ice cream, it gives me an upset pouch.  I can eat a little, but not much.  I have wondered about what is it about ice cream but not cottage cheese, yogurt, shakes, etc.    I'm with you...I need my shaeks and would take the tablets too.

Clearing gas means passing gas that cleated out the room due to the odor. I live alone so when I am alone -no problem.

And anyone who does not want their protein powder-I'll be happy to inherit and figure out a way to het it to Israe! Gina sent me one awhile back and I was so appreciative!

Yup, Miki called it!  It's that something-crawled-in-and-died stink from some gas.

Ice cream is ok, but more than about 1/4 cup gives me a dizzy head ache (sounds like a mild dump to me because of the dizziness), so I don't go there.  Cole Stone sinless, however, does just fine... the only problem is the mix-ins are full sugar and fat!

Oh, the things we learn about ourselves as we go on this journey!

I have always loved milk.  It does not make me sick, but I cannot just drink a glass of milk anymore.  It just make me feel icky.  I use the Hood Calorie Countdown milk-I don't know if it actually has milk in it or not.  I mix my shakes in it and can't tell the difference.  I don't drink it without something in it.
Just a though, might be something you might can try.  It has a lot less carbs/sugars than regular, fat free or skim milk.

My gas gets really bad when I do a lot of carbs-it is soooo bad!!!

Some protein powders, the ones with creatine in them make me very gassy.  I also switched my milk to the silk vanilla soy light.  Also, if I eat something with a lot of carbs or sugar, I can clear a room.  It kind of keeps me in check. no real answer other then to try lactose free milk or soy!

Nope, no creatine.  I don't care for soy, it feels too rich and upsets my pouch, so I'm still on the lactaid tabs.  But those are working wonders!
