TGIF, babeeeees!  It's going to be beautiful outside today--may have to work from the picnic tables at work today. ^_^  It was the government lead's idea--honest.  He'll probably cut us loose early and then I'm going to hit the farmer's market.
If the Amish folk are there I'm going to buy some grass-fed beef, milk-fed pork and free range chicken. I'm getting so spoiled eating this awesome meat. Yesterday I had ground beef that was 90% lean and it was easy for me to eat, whereas grocery store 90% lean is too tough for me. Interesting... An the smell when you cook it is wonderful. The grocery store ground beef stinks when it cooks.
Anybody else becoming food snobs? What do you buy now that is more expensive for better quality?

Y'all have a great Friday!

With all this healthy eating, I've decided to grow my own veggies this year.  I decided to do square foot gardening.  For the $$ I've put in to start it up, I could have had a local farmer deliver the produce to my front door!  Oh well, everybody needs a hobby.

We had dinner at a friends and they served burgers that were grass fed beef.  Yummy!  I couldn't believe the difference.  I just might have to buy a half side of beef!

I'm already eating from the garden for everything but meat.  What isn't fresh yet, I am trying to use from the freezer to get it cleaned out to make room for more.  So far it means lots of salads, broccali and spinach.  We have a local farmers market that is open in Sat morning.  They have meats and fish and since I am home this weekend, I might try to get up there.

I eat so many different things now than I did pre WLS.  I love summer time when we can get fresh fruits and veggies.  Need to go to the Farmer's Market Saturday morning and see what they have.

I love all the squashes, before I would only eat the yellow crooked neck squash.  There are so many great things you can do with these.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

I think some of my friends would say yes for me. I like good food but now it is almost food that my stomach picks is what I eat. Scampi and ribeye are the two easiest things for me to eat so I like to eat lots of it.
