Lots of daughter-mom relationships out there. Some have adopted mothers over their bio-moms--some wish they could. Anyway, today be nice to your mom, the memory of your mom or the mom you wish was yours. :) Also, let the folks in your life be nice to you, always.

Agreed, when I was a kid and then as a teen I didn't get along with my mom. My parents divorced and my dad remarried when I was 14. I went to live with them. My stepmom stepped in at a time when I really needed a mother. She always encouraged me to mend my relationship with my "other" mom. I finally did, in my mid 30's. Now I have 2 wonderful moms! AND, my stepdaughter needs a mom but her mom isn't there for her so I get to pay it forward! I have been blessed!!

I will give my Mom a call later today. My sister was very thoughtful and got her a card from "both of us" while I was on vacation. I was wondering when I was able to get to the store to buy one in FL.

Guess I'd better go jump in the shower so I can let the folks in my life be nice to me - thank you SO much for inviting me along today, I'm really looking forward to it.

My mom passed away this spring, so I can't be with her now. I'm so glad that I was able to spend a month with her at the end. Love ya, Mom!

My mother passed away 10 years ago tomorrow. I miss her and wish I could still hug her.

My first step mother was a witch and showed me how NOT to be a stepmom. My current stepmom is okay as long as I don't have to deal with her for very long...

My MIL is a good person...already talked to her this morning and wished her a Happy Mother's Day.

I lost my mother 11 years ago. I still miss her. She was a power influence in my life. I do the best I can to be a good mother and grandmother. She taught me well.

My mom passed last June. Last Mother's day was the last time I talked to her. She had dementia for years and I had felt like I had lost her a long time ago but last year my brother called me from her room and said she wanted to talk to me. She got on the phone and said my name and it sounded like she knew who she was talking to. I told her I would be there to see her soon and that seemed to make her happy. Unfortunately I was too late. I got to California right after she passed away.
I'm going to a BBQ at my ex husband's house. His mother passed last February. I am sure he will get nice and drunk. I wish I had that option sometimes.
