Good Morning. Moms, doing anything special?

All you LW moms, what are you doing special this weekend?

DH wants to take me out to eat, as usual.
Son#2 gave me a nicely framed print of Dumbledore's office and we're going to go see Dark Shadows tomorrow morning.
Son#1 will probably call sometime today and ask what we're planning so they can come over.

 DH is on call at the hospital this weekend so nothing special.  We have tons of yard work to do before it gets too hot so that's where we will be.  Here in Utah, we have about a month of comfortable temperatures.  It goes from freezing to about 90 from April to June.  The kids are spread out all over the country so I will just keep my cell in my pocket to take the Happy Mothers Day calls.

...nothing special.  My husband is working.  I'm getting my hair cut today, so that is my treat.  I severed my 5 year relationship with my previous stylist, so hair cuts are still a little stressful for me until I am fully comfortable with this new guy. 

Nothing special here....just relaxing.

Going to a meet up group to hike a local lake that I have never been to. Looking forward to some nature this morning!

I just finished a 7 mile walk, need to shower and go to the store so I can make dessert for tomorrow's mother's day celebration (DH and I, my parents, brother and his wife, her parents, DD and her husband). If the rain holds off, I need to harvest catnip: it's getting too tall for the windows, but the leaves are just right for drying.

DH wanted to take me out for a meal (my birthday is tomorrow as well), but I'm a breakfast lover, so we're going to wait and do it next week when all the restaurants aren't as crammed.

DS1 is coming over today for lunch and pool time with the grandkids.

DH is taking me to dinner and the theater tonight.

Not only is tomorrow Mothers' Day, but the birthday of DS2. He's coming over to celebrate.  I'm cooking his favorite food.

I just love my time with all of them!

Kind of sad since this is my first Mother's day since my mom passed and of course losing my J****aking me sad.  Last Mother's day was the last time I spoke to my mom.  She had dementia and it had been a while since she even knew who I was so I wasn't expecting much but I think she knew who I was.  She said my name and spoke like she knew who she was talking to.
Tonight my boys are taking me out to dinner and I might bring my grand daughter home.
Tomorrow I'm going to my ex husband's house for a BBQ.  It should be interesting since they are buying out the liquor store lol.  It will be good to see my step daughter and her kids as well as my ex sister in laws.  I haven't seen them since the divorce.  Speaking of the divorce, I was going through my files today and I came across my divorce papers.  I just thought that was funny.
Happy mother's day to everyone!

Today we are spending the day with my husband's Mom and tomorrow my Mom.  Today we are grilling out and tomorrow taking my Mom out to eat.

No big plans here. It's been quite cool here in NY. I did go grocery shopping to have on hand oj, hashbrowns, bacon, fresh fruit and we always have pancake mix here just in case the "crew" shows up (I told DD that I would like a deluxe belgian waffle maker, so I thought I should be "prepared"). Not sure if she'll make it happen, but I am ready for a big breakfast for everyone nonetheless.
I bought a gift certificate for my mom to get a facial, her favorite. So the BIG holiday can come!
