So I see alot of people are ending up having plastic surgury after losing weight.  I do not really want plastic surgury.  What are some things I can do while losing weight to hopefully avoid it?

What helps most of us lightweights is that we don't have a super amount of excess skin...I won't lie, I look like a melted candle under my clothes but I am ALSO almost 58 years old...some of it's gonna sag anyway. And most of us get some redistribution of the remaining fat about the 3 year mark. (not there yet so no personal experience on that one, LOL).

Thanks for the compliment...but my stomach is saggy...if I could figure out how to get all my excess skin to stay up in my bra, both my stomach AND my boobs would be happier, LOL Super glue maybe????

i'll be 2 years post RNY next month.  i have had a tummy tuck....it wasn't a "have to" thing.  i just really wanted that skin gone!  dr removed 3+ pounds of skin which isn't a lot compared to some but i'm sure glad i did it.

its just a personal choice that only you can make.  i'm pondering on a thigh lift next year but that's the only other plastics i'd consider.

best wishes on your journey!!
Blessings,  J

I didn't intend to have plastic surgery, but wound up needing reconstruction due to medical issues beyond the typical rashes and such.

I will say, I love not being the melted candle anymore, because I was too!

Hello!

look at my profile pictures. I took some in a bikini top last month. I've had no plastics and I have lost 110 pounds.

RNY on 10/25/10 with
Angelrenee,

Our stats are quite similar. I do admit I DREAM of getting plastics.... But, honestly it is pure vanity if I do. My skintone is similar to anyone who has lost a lot of weight, especially my tummy. It definitely "pouts" at my navel. My chest is maintained at a B, and I long for those perky "young" boobs I see. I imagine you will be very happy with your weight loss and look. I also understand why we may want to finish our hard work.
To Crabadams, you made me laugh at your videos! I totally get what you are sayin... And my tummy looks quite similar to yours...
Oh, and feel free to check out my profile. As I said, my body is "OK"..... I am definitely with happy with my results. Wearing scant things a.k.a. bathing suits does make me insecure. I may actually go the plastics route... goood luck!

I have lost 80 lbs.  would like to lose 14 more pounds.  My arm and thigh skin are really really bad.  Breast are sagging but not to bad.  My stomack is not bad as well.  My butt is bad toooooooo.  I am 50 years old.........I am sure that has something to do with,

63 and am going to live with what I have.  Look pretty awful naked but wonderful in clothes.  DH doesn't seem to mind and after almost 40 yrs of marriage, he is the only one who matters.
