Welcome to the lightweight board.

I wasn't nauseated afterwards...and altho my dh was home with me, he wasn't much help as he was also recovering from his DS 5 weeks before mine. But just the fact that he was there did help.

Thanks all! I'm feeling better about being able to handle most stuff alone after surgery with my sister on call if needed.

So: Chapstick, loose clothes, take it easy. Will do.

Welcome and congrats on your surgery date :)  I didn't use very much @ the hospital.  I used my pillow, socks, and toothbrush.  I would recommend staying with your sister just for a few days, just in case.  You tastes definately change after surgery, so don't buy too much of one thing.  You will be focusing on walking, sipping, and resting.
