Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!    Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER!

I couldn't wait to get on the scale this morning.  5 days and 5.2  pounds lost!!!   I was shocked that the number on the scale when we got home didn't freak me out.  I never wanted to be in the 120's again but it happened because of all of the bad "fun" choices I made while on vacation.

Before my RNY I would have come home and never even got on the scales and if I did my reaction might have been "well who gives a crap you are already fat, what's a couple more pounds" OR  if I had been on a "diet" before we left I would think "well you blew it again" and that would have been the end of the dieting until I got in the mood again.

Now I have this wonderful tool that works when I listen to it!  3 1/2 years out and still loving the best decison I've ever made for myself!

I've been on Maintenance for 2 1/2 years and doing great!!!

New to the lightweight board.  I was just noticing your protein intake.  Why so high?  I'm 4 1/2 months out and getting 70-90g per day and think that is ok. Dr. did tell me to drink a protein shake 1 hour before going to bed so I'm more like at 100g/day to hopefully boost my weightloss.  Just wondering your thoughts on protein.  Thanks, gail

Welcome to our LW board!!

I've been on Maintenace for over 2.5 years now and High Protein totals using shakes seem to be working so I decided to stick with what works for me.  Besides that I crave my shakes during the day.  I always have one before bed too but I'm going to start having it early because I'm tired of getting up during the night several times to go to the bathroom.  I have a terrible time getting back to sleep.

many of us have found while losing that keeping the protein up and the carbs down help us get to a normal BMI and below.  My labs are great with my protein in the 120-140 level and that is usually 3 shakes a day.

Welcome to the LW board.

Your cinnamon rolls always sound so good but I just can't bring myself to eating carbs.  I just know I would start trouble for me.

Sounds good Linda!

They are made from Carbquick which is very low carbs only 2 net carbs and it has protein.  Here is the nutritional information.
I very rarely use real flour anymore.  This has a bitter taste, but I've gotten used to it and it doesn't bother me anymore.

It sounds like you should do really well on vacation!  With the little ones we had way to many snacks laying around and I enjoyed way to many of them (without quilt).  At home I don't eat much junk food so I think that's why the pounds came off so easily.

Does the MIO make you hungry?  I had to quit using it because I started craving things and got a hunger feeling. Probably crystal lite or any flavoring would do the same thing to me.  I have to drink my protein drinks plain.

I love to look a fresh paint.  When DD and family moves out we are going to get the carpets cleaned and repaint the whole house.

Good menu!

meetings most of the day and rain the rest. Oh well, I wanted to get those plants in the ground but maybe tomorrow.

I agree about the weight after a vacation. I just got back on track and the extra pounds came off the week I got back. It did make me a little concerned when I first stepped on the scale but it works to just get back on track.
