It's been a big week!

Hey all, this has benn a big week for me! I passed my Real Estate exam on Wednesday! Wahoo! What a relief! No more studying for this girl. Then yesterday I bought a brand new Mazda3! We have had our Toyota Sienna for 12 years and would have just kept on driving it, but it is such a gas pig that a new high mpg car was in order since I'm going to start spending so much time in it, doing Residential Property Management.
I've started seeing a therapist who specializes in weight/food issues. She asked me yesterday to think about what coping strategies I am going to use now that I can't self soothe with food the way I used to.
What do you guys do now instead of eat to relief stress, anxiety, boredom, etc?

Seems like a lot of people are using exercise and protein drinks, not only for the protein but to keep their hands and mouths occuppied. I hadn't thought of the protein drinks that way. I think I'll go make myself one for breakfast right now!

For stress relief, when I'm being good, I walk and do leaning push-ups. One day was bad enough that I did 100 push-ups and 6 walks.

Congratulations on the Real Estate Exam and the new vehicle!! I used to work for a real estate company when I was very young and we did property management. I enjoyed it and hope you do too!!
I try to exercise it really helps with the eating sometimes!! I also use Protein Drinks that keep my hands and mouth occupied between meals.....

Congrats on getting your Real Estate license! I've always thought that would be an interesting job.
I like the look of the Mazda3 and they seem very comfortable.
I hope everything works out for you at the therapists. I'm not as bored now as when I was heavy. I have so much more energy than I had before so I'm spending a lot more time with the grandkids. I use to sit back and watch everyone else but now I can join in the fun. I also do a lot more shopping and reading and I if the munchies are on my mind I usually have a 100 calorie bag of popcorn.
I started drinking the Protein drinks because keeping track of my Protein totals made me feel like I was back on Weigh****chers (which wasn't successful after many years of counting points). Then I found that when I rely on Protein drinks to get my protein in that I eat smaller meals and I have room for healthy snacks. My NUT said most "thin" people eat small amounts every few hours which works better for me since I'm a grazier.
