What does ur screen name mean?

I'm a paranoid mother to one child.

After at least 3 miscarriages we know about (my specialist suspects there were more... he said I was fertile as a rabbit, but could only rarely carry more than 4-6 weeks), I was finally able to carry my daughter to term. I then had at least 2 more miscarriages. We say DD was the only one stubborn enough to hang in there.

So, since she was so difficult to have, I've always been paranoid about something happening to her. I work hard at letting her live her life like all kids, but also laugh at my worries.

The other screen name I use is rihannsu_babe, although not on this site. Any original Trek fans here? Diane Duane wrote a marvelous series of books about the Romulans, and said that their name for themselves was Rihannsu. DH and my parents figured that was me - smart, logical, and ready to kill you if you stepped out of line. Hence, rihannsu_babe.

 My cat is named Q from Star Trek The Next Generation.  I was dating a serious Trekkie when I got her.  I really only enjoyed TNG.  Jean Luke Piccard was one sexy character. LOL!

Maybe - but Kirk could take him in a heartbeat! LOL!

Is your Q as twisty as the character?

 Not really, but she is 18 and the vet says she's as healthy as a cat half her age.  I have developed an allergy to her over the years and I'm ready for her to go to the big kitty condo in the sky.  The vet just laughed and said she's not going anywhere anytime!  Who knew that omnipotent would describe her so adequately!  LOL

Because I only told my husband, my sister who is my best friend and one friend that I work with about my WLS, I didn't want anyone to stumble on me on the Internet. The New Me 55 is because at the age of 55 I decided that I was going to make life changing changes in my life. I've snuggled back up to close to God where I had strayed from. I've renewed by vows in my marriage of 30 years. I've taken the attitude that I don't care so much what people think of me after spending  years not wanting people to notice me because of how I looked. I'm now dedicated to staying focused on my goals because when I hit 60 I'm going to be one cool mama!

My only regrets - that I didn't do this sooner and that my Mama and Daddy aren't here to cheer me on! 

And thanks Liz - I was raised in Texas and taught to me a southern lady too and my husband a southern gentleman! He still opens all doors for me and puts me first in all things we do. I still say thank you mam! and of course there are a few Bless Yourrr Hearts in there somewhere too!

Mine is just my first name & last initial. I know, boring.

 While most of the people in my former work life did not know about my VSG, everyone in my personal life does.  So I just went with my first name.  My case manager asked what my name is on OH and when I told her, she said, oh you're not hiding!   In this community I am no hiding.  I get to be who I am and keep my success or struggles real.

Another boring one here!  First name and initial of last name.  Woohoo!!!  LOL
