Yesterday at my 1 year appointment my surgeon called me "skinny". My before picture was a fright.

When I was in pre-op waiting to have my bladder lift and hysti the pre-op nurse's jaw dropped to the dang floor when I told her I'd had weight loss surgery 3 years before--she said I looked way to healthy to have had that and my labs were unbelievably good. This is a COE for WLS. Makes you wonder about their nutritional guidance.

Best NSV, being told by a border agent that I had best get a new passport photo.  That I looked much younger (and thinner) than my photo taken 8 years before!

The hospital where my surgeon practices built a new, state-of-the art weight management center.  At the center's open house the hospital asked me to be one of their guests of honor and used my before/after photos on their website and in the newspaper, etc.  I could have never imagined this, not even a tiny glimpse, the day I walked into my first WLS seminar in February 2009.  I am so thankful for this life changing surgery.

I don't remember any more. There were many many NSV's. But I'll share the most recent one. I was at a wedding in January. I knew I looked good. There was no drinking or dancing at this wedding......but as many were standing in the lobby waiting to leave, my SisNL's BIL, (her husband's brother) suddenly took me and tried to dip me!!!! I was shocked, I stand in my heels probably 3" taller than him and needless to say it was just a laugh because I wouldn't let him. But I'm sure I turned 4 shades of pink as everyone looked to see what was going on. He would have NEVER tried nor wanted to try that 75 pounds ago. That works for me.

Probably the best thing is when someone that I don't know tells me I am so tiny!!  Who would have ever thought that...

My nest NSV to date would have to be the ability to maintain what I have lost and not have gained it back immediately. I have been the same weight since Oct/Nov 2011

I was in the grocery store...a lady was looking for fat free yogurt...told her I didn't eat fat free...she said, you don't need to as skinny as you are!!!
