Thanks for the encouragement to just stick with the plan, I am sure it is sound advice and I'll take it!

Congrats on your surgery!!  Did they send you home with lasix?  If so, drink extra fluid as you are able to.  We want to keep you healthy and hydrated.

They didn't send me home with any lasix.  But I'm getting in quite a bit more fluid than 56 oz so am doing good!

Glad you are home. I, like the others, stayed very, very close to my plan. I went home on full liquids - could not wait to get to "mushy" foods. Each time they advanced my diet I couldn't wait to try new things.

I remember my surgeon telling me at my one month check that that was the time to worry about losing weight. The first month or so is mainly to heal and keep hydrated. You will lose weight tho'!

I used to sit with the timer on my phone set every ten minutes to drink I think an ounce of water or something like that.

Don't forget to walk!

Congrats!

I am already tired of the protein pwdr and drinks.  The protein powder flavor has to be really disguised or I don't want to drink it.   I tried making thin protein pudding by adding an extra cup of milk and 4 scoops of protein pwdr.  Yuck!  too much protein powder and not enough pudding flavor.  It is still in a liquid state, so tomorrow I'm going to try making another batch without the protein powder and mixing them all together.
The protein jello I'll have to try again tomorrow.  Between the sweetner and protein powder taste, I'm not sure if it's going to make it to edible.

Glad you are home and doing good.  I used double milk to help with my protein - I had no problems with milk.  I mixed regular milk with powdered milk.  My NUT suggested this.

Good luck and keep us updated on your progress.
