How does someone determine if they are a lightweight?  My BMI is 43, and I have 100 lbs to lose (115 to reach my fantasy weight).  Thanks

You'd fit the lightweight bill just fine. We usually start between 35 and 40ish or less than about 150 pounds to lose. Welcome! :)

Yeah I would say you are a lightweight.  They say usually a 45 BMI and under.
Who would have thought when I was over 100 lbs overweight that I would be called a lightweight?

Yes you are a lightweight.  I started out with 100lbs of excess weight, with 110 lbs weight loss as a fantasy, so we're very similar.

Welcome to this very friendly board.

Welcome to the lightweight board.

Feels odd to be called that but we are!

Welcome to the LW Board.  My BMI was probably higher than most everyone here, but I had less than 150 to lose and everyone here is so welcoming.  You will enjoy it here.

Welcome :)  I didn't start out as a lightweight a year ago, but lost 50 lbs before surgery so I consider myself a "surgery lightweight" LOL  I love this board :)

Welcome to our LW Board!!!   I'm looking forward to see if your fantasy weight changes!  My dream weight was 125 but I'm holding steady at 115-118 and couldn't be happier (well maybe getting back to 112 would make me smile for a day).
