Okay!  The scale has not moved for 7 weeks and I am only 6 months out!  Just want the last 20 lbs gone so I can work on maintance!  I have increased my protein, increase my workout, increase my water, and decrease my carbs!  Just venting,.....................

I know a lot of people who stall about 6 months out.  Hang in there - weight loss slows significantly at 6 months, but you'll still lose some more.

That was about when I really S L O W E D down.  I upped my protein over 120, cut my carbs to 30 or less and it worked for me.  Good luck.  Keep venting if you need to.

I've been stuck in a 3 pound range 164-167 for weeks. I can't get 163 for anything!!! Hang in there and keep on keeping' on!!!

I got to 135 in August...then played up and down from 131-135 until March. All of a sudden I dropped down to 129.

We slow down and it seems our body needs the break before starting up again.

It's not uncommon to experience a stall somewhere in the  6 month area, but when you are getting to where you haven't seen any movement for 6 to 7 weeks, it may mean that you need to do some evaluation. If you haven't already contacted your professionals with your program, I would definitely do that. Also, I would strongly suggest that you log your intake and activity. This does a couple of things. It allows you to 'really' see what you are doing in terms of what you are ingesting. You need to be getting enough calories and 'enough' depends somewhat from one surgery type to another. If you aren't getting enough calories, your body will actually start to slow down it's metabolic rate to conserve your limited resources. You also want to know that the 'breakdown' of your intake is. Finally, you need to be aware of your activity level and how it may be impacting your resting metabolic rate. 

Another thing that you may want to consider, is that the scale is not the only measure of success and/or progress.

If you have a dietician associated with your program, you may want to share your food logs so that they can see if they can discover something that may be impeding your progress. Generally, I keep my food logs private, because I'm the ultimate people pleaser... to my own detriment. I know that when I belonged to weigh****chers, I didn't always 'fess' up to everything I consumed because I knew that they would be disappointed in me. You'll have to figure out the best way to approach that for you.

Unfortunately, the dietician is on vacation.  I am hoping to get in to see her in a week or so.  I have been journaling every thing that I put in my mouth.  I am somewhat confused about calories needed and how much food.  Some say 800 to 1000 and the nurse I spoke with stated 1200 this week.  How much I can eat..........my program says 1/2 cup at this point.  I am like wow....... I can eat twice that to feel full.  I am kind of thinking I am not getting enough calories in (800 t0 900).  .  I eat pretty clean, mostly organic with very good carbs from grains and veg...... very little fruit b/c I am a diabetic.  I just can't figure out what made me stop losing weight at 41/2 months out plus no changes in measurements.

Keep at it!  Stay the course......I agree with the above posters, after 6 months I REALLY slowed down too.  I remember thinking,  "what the heck???  I CAN'T be done!!!"  It was incredibly frustrating but I think I had just gotten used to the rapid weight loss of the first few months. 

  Looking back, the last 5 months before my one year mark, I lost about 3-4 pounds a month.  Not as much as the early months but it added up to what I needed to lose to meet my goal.

  I met my goal in about 10-11 months.   I stopped losing TOTALLY at about month 14 and started maintanance.    Be patient.....I know it's hard but quit focusing on the scale and start enjoying your new life!!!

Me and Mama are in the slow losers club. One thing that helped for me was actually
putting the scale away. EVERYTIME that the scale didn't move my clothes were looser
and that darn # was making me so upset and deterring me from celebrating every other
great thing surgery brought me. I put the scale in the garage and increased my activity
and eventually the # went down. Hang in there. It isn't over yet!!
