Menus and Miles Thursday April 12th
I go by percentages not grams. 50% Protein, 25% Carbs, and 25% Fat. If my carbs are high then I add another Protein drink to even it out.
As long as I get my Protein drinks in then I don't worry to much about carbs if they are "good" carbs like beans, nuts, and vegetables.

PT early this morning. I did 10 min on the bike and 10 min on the eliptical before therapy so my miles are in. Since then have been getting caught up on work.
Making bean soup for supper and being in the kitchen has me nibbling. Yesterday was DH's bday and I bought him a 1/2 cake. I'm trying really hard to stay out of it but it is calling my name.
decaf protein coffee 35g
sprouted bread cheese toast
lemon tea 23
chicken salad
sausage nibbles while making soup
???
bean soup
protein shake 35g

Question about the protein you use in your protein coffees. I have used the Unjury and it's not mixing well. Always separates. I am having a hard time with the whole separating thing in all my shakes and wondering if that is just something everyone deals with and gets "used to"--or if it's the protein I'm buying. (Unjury & Syntax) I REALLY liked the idea of getting a good start to the day with the protein coffees (and also the teas) but need to know how to get them down without pieces floating in them. ;)
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

I don't use any of the unjury except chicken soup and I alway thought it seperated because I got it too hot.
Mostly what I use is syntax, either nectars or matrix. I mix them in about 1/2 c for 1.5scoop of protein of warm water with a spoon until they are dissolved. The matrix actually mixes better than nectars seems like. I have used GNC before and did the same process. Then I just add that to decaf like a creamer. I've found with the lemon tea, it actually mixes best in a small amount of water with a spoon, then add more water and ice to it. If you let it set for a while, most of the undissolved pieces dissolve and you don't have lumps. With a blender bottle, it makes too much foam. It goes away but it takes a while and you don't deal with it when you just use a spoon. Someone here mentioned mixing with a fork. That works too but I liked the spoon better. I do the same thing when making protein hot chocolate. Mix the protein and hot chocolate mix in a small amount of warm, not ho****er, then add to the ho****er or milk.
