Surprise endoscopy this morning
I saw my surgeon yesterday for a 3 month follow up. I told him I was getting some nausea and vomiting 3-4 times a week. He said we need to do an endoscopy. I said I am going on vacation on Saturday and I can get fluids in fine. I think I am pushing the envelope too much with new foods etc. He said "we can do it tomorrow!". So I am going to the hospital for an EGD in a little bit. He said that strictures are mostly likely to occur 4-10 weeks after surgery. He also said I shouldn't be vomiting. He said if it was 1-2 times a month he probably would just keep an eye on it. But for the last 2 weeks I've been carry a plastic bag in my purse so I have it when I need it. So anyway, off I go to the hospital. Wish me luck!
I think it's a good idea to get scoped too. Swinging lizards for you.

I'm home. There was no stricture. I measured a full 12 mm. Yeah!! However there were some undissolved sutures in there so he removed them. He told my husband they can be very irritating. I should be all better. But, I will eat slower and chew my food better too. I may have slipped back into my old habits of eating too fast now that it has been a few months. Thanks for the support.
