Hello Lightweights!

My name is Susie and I will be having my RNY surgery on 4/25/12. What are the qualifications to be considered a lightweight?
My current pre-op weight is 215 lbs and I am 5' 4" my goal weight according to my surgeon is 120 lbs.
I was looking over your posts and the topics and would really like to be able to chat with other people that are willing to share their experiences.

I live in Romulus, Michigan and I am also looking for local WLS support groups.

There's no hard and fast rule. Basically, if your BMI is in the 40-ish range or lower, then most people think you are "too small" for surgery so that makes you a lightweight.
