I was 195 the day of surgery.I was not that concerned with loose skin because I figured being on the lightweight side.I was wrong.I had my surgery in July .Legs sag, have wings on my arms and so far have not been able to do anything to flatten or tighten  my stomach. With that said I do not regret the decision to have he surgery.Today I am 142 pounds ,down from a size 20 to size 8 or 10.Thank goodness for shapewear and cardigans.I may never wear shortsleeve again but am so much healthier. No more high cholesterol, good blood pressure and good self esteem

I'm halfway to goal.  I have some loose skin around my lower abdomen and the insides of my thighs.  The thighs aren't too bad.  At least not yet.  The belly is looking sad though. I am saving my $$ for a tummy tuck.  I'm 5'2" and weighed 226 at my highest.  I am 46 years old.  I think age does play a part as well as the amount of collagen your skin has.  Good luck!

220 was my high weight and I have gotten down in the 113-5 range.  I am 4'11" and 63.  I have loose skin.  Thighs, arms, belly, butt.  My neck looks better than I thought it would and my lower arms and calfs are fine. At my age, no plastics for me.   So you just cover up what looks bad.  I look terrific in clothes.  And after 40 yrs of being together, hubby thinks I look pretty good naked too and he is all that counts.

Price's post made me laugh....!

I think a lot of it depends on age and exercise.  The younger and more active you are the better your skin will bounce back.

I'm in my 50's and my thighs are probably my worst part although my 3 yr. old grandson keeps touching my bat wings and giggling.  My tummy sags but not enough for insurance to cover plastics.  My butt is droppy too.

After a couple of years things are starting to look better though (or maybe I'm just getting used to them.  I always wear a lightweight panty support.  I bought an XL because I don't want to be uncomfortable but I don't want to giggle either. At 57 I look pretty good when I'm dressed.

I was at the Mall with my oldest granddaughters and they went home and told their Mom that they saw "old" men checking me out...LOL  They were embarrased and never told me and of course I never noticed.

I was 203 when I signed in for surgery. I'm 5'4" and am 57 years old.

Yes, I have saggy skin (melted candle look) but I would MUCH rather have saggy skin than still have diabetes, high cholesterol and all the co-morbids I had pre-op. Seems like a MUCH better trade off to me.

As we age, our skin sags some anyway, even those who have never been obese. And batwings/muffin tops can be genetic. I'll have them regardless of how much I work at it.

My surgeon, Dr. Sauceda will be doing consultations in Las Vegas on June 1st and 2nd.  We have a group here on OH if you want to come check out the conversations.

I was 249.8 at my highest recorded weigh.  I had my plastics at 151.5 on December 9, 2012.  Even at 61, it was the best decision I've made.  I love waking up and looking in te mirror every morning.

I've lost over 100 lbs and yes I have a saggy butt, some droop on the inner thighs, and a jiggly tummy, but it's not too bad. I'm in my mid-later 40s. I didn't exercise much before starting the wls journey, but I've become very faithful for the past 1 1/2 years and it does make a difference. I found a one-piece bathing suit last year that has a stylish 'miniskirt' design that hides the worst of the the butt and thigh issues, and in my regular clothes there are no issues at all!

I was 239 at my heaviest.  My arms, belly, and butt look like a sharpei dog..   My husband said he now understands what I mean about "bat wings"
