LOL, yeah, the waist loves to hold on to it, doesn't it?

Good going.

Liquid diets are the devil. My dietician (who is a skinny thing) tried to do the liquid diet that some surgeons require their pt's to do before surgery, and she gave up! She said it was absolutly horrible.

I hope you heal fast fast fast and can get back on regular food:)

Last week 206.4
This week 203.4
-3lbs
I am still trying to catch my mini goal of 199 by Easter but I think I will be shy a lb or two.But I am damn close:)

What helps is that it really does NOT feel comfortable to eat regular food which makes a liquid/semi-soft MUCH easier to manage. I also found out that my mouth prefers warm over cold except first thing in the morning. Once I've had a sip or two of cold, my coffee feels GREAT.

After my DS surgery, my MOUTH felt fine and that is what makes it hard...now it's my stomach which is fine but not my mouth.

You'll get to your mini-goal...I have faith in you!

You did fantastic this week.

Unlike a pre-op diet or even liquids only after the DS, this truly doesn't bother me like being stuck on liquids after my DS. I was SO ready to get to soft foods back then. I really don't mind the liquids this time.

The thing is, I can move it now but due to all the wire in there, it's hard. He wired around every single tooth in there in prep for wiring it shut. Then all he did was put in rubber bands instead. And I still don't really FEEL my mouth. It still feels like a bad case of numb like they do for dental work.

Okay, EVEN if you stop for now, unless you are 24 or more months out, you are not done. I got to 135 in Aug and stayed put for MONTHS...then the month before this surgery, I dropped 6 lbs. I wasn't done, my body just needed to rest for awhile. Just keep doing what you need to do and the weight will come off until you reach a comfortable weight for your body. And who knows where that will be until you're more than 24 months out.

I was 190.0lb last week
I am 190.5lb this week... as of Sunday.

The good news is that I attended my first class at the surgeon's office and as many diets as I have been on over the past "many" years I was pleased to say I learned some things.

I added a new app to my phone - MyFitnessPal and it seems to be working well.

Based on the feedback from lots of folks on this forum - I am going to work on eating small meals every few hours with a focus on protein. If I can do this now it will make the post surgery transition easier.
