Just when I think I've made progress
I hope you feel better soon. I have a picky pouch too. I think that is what helped me lose the weight because I was so limited. I pretty much lived on soft foods for the better part of the first six months following surgery. I have practically given up meat. I ate chicken last night, and it tore me up, again. I lived on beans, homemade soups, gumbo (could not eat the shrimp) and things like that. Everything had t be very soft. Your pouch is more picky than mine, and my lactose intolerance was short lived.

Thanks so much for the encouragement. You're right, there is a silver lining in that I'm almost at goal at 7 months. I'll just have to continue to develop as many recipes for talapia as I can!
Dried peas and beans cause lower GI distress at this time - I had a big learning experience last week with some split pea soup - it sure tasted good, but the gas pain was not fun.
