Knowing I'll be active and able to play with my future grandchildren that will come from my youngest child absolutely. There is 7 years difference between my last and second last child and knowing I'll have the energy in 10 years to play with his children makes this all worth while.

I can do things in jeans in 108 degree weather here in Nicaragua right now. I could hardly stand the heat two years ago when I was last here.

I am working out in a gym with no air conditioning in 90 degree temperatures, yeah, I would do it again.

My only regret is that I didn't do it 10 years earlier due to fear.

Well, I kinda did do it again, since I am a revision.
Really, it depends on my mood and time of day ;)
I would do it again but differently.  Hindsight is 20/20 but I probably would have done fine with a lot more restriction and a lot less malabsorption.  I also would have made changes in my eating habit and been a lot more dilligent about supplements and maybe I wouldn't have needed a revision.
On one hand I don't think I could have lost weight if I didn't have surgery.  I was dieted out and I don't think I could have made it through one more without the help the surgery has given me.  But I have had some health issues that I wouldn't have had if I didn't have surgery, so it's a trade off.  But my health is on the rise and my weight has been stable for a little while so I guess overall the answer would be yes.
I think there is a lot more information and education available then there was 10 years ago and people who are having surgery today know their options and are more likely to go into this with their eyes open.
