Best problem I've had in a while

I'm going on vacation in  4 weeks and I have very few clothes that fit. (my husband commented on my potato sack clothes last night and I thought I looked okay.  Oops)  And, I don't know what size I will be in 4 weeks.  Unfortunately, it is still winter here and the spring clothes aren't out in the stores in full force yet.  I need 2 ****tail dresses, a swimsuit and some capris.  I ordered a couple of cheap ****tail dresses from JCPenney online in a couple of different sizes.  I think I will be safe in waiting to get capris.  But a swimsuit....I don't want to spend a lot because I won't wear it again and the best prices are online.  So I think I will have to do the same as the ****tail dresses; order a few sizes and take back what doesn't fit.  It's kind of a pain, but if I wait and they aren't in the stores yet I won't be able to get anything.  See my dilemma?  Oh boy, this is the best problem!!

Oh yeah, I also noticed I trend toward the color  black and old lady styles.  I can probably go a little more trendy these days.  That's pretty nice!

You're right, that's a great problem to have.  You could be the same size in 4 weeks or you could be 1 or 2 sizes down.  It's a strange thing to try to figure out.

When I was going on vacation last year, my friend advised me to get stretch shorts/capris with drawstrings as they work through a couple of sizes.  Also, try the Goodwill stores.  Honestly I don't see much in the way of ****tail dresses, but you'll find jeans, shorts, and skirts that might work.  You could buy a whole wardrobe in a second-hand store, and not feel guilty about the cost.

I recommend going out and trying on swimsuits; I found that finding the right one was really tricky.  I'm seeing them in our stores here, and I bet they're stocking up there too.

Good luck!

When I was in Sears last week, they had lands end suits out.  They were 20% off but started over $100.

I picked up 1 slacks, 2 capris and 2 tops yesterday at the Thrift store for under $30. Woo hoo.

I agree about thrift store shopping, I've just recently discovered a great salvation army thrift store.  Wednesday's are half off.  Last Wed, I got 2 dress, 2 pairs of jeans (one was lucky brand), a pair of capris (lucky brand), 2 shirts, a pair of dress pants, and 6 books for $30 !!

What a wonderful problem to have!!  Last night, I was with some friends, and they were talking about shopping at thrift stores in more affluent areas, so that might be another option. Who knows, maybe you would find a ****tail dress.

I remembered a box of bathing suits in the top of my closet that I have saved through the years.  I would wear them once, realize they were too small and put it away for next year after I went on a diet.  One from 5 years ago fits perfectly.  It is a black tankini with blue trim and still looks up to date.  Yay!!  Also last January when I was on WW and had lost 20 lbs I bought a goal dress in size 14 on clearance at TJMaxx.  It fits perfectly today.  I might be able to wear them on my vacation.  Yay!!

Costco has great swimsuits for under $30.  At that price you don't have to worry too much about how long you can wear it.  You can also return things there.  Last year I got a suit in size 12 and had to take it back the next day for a 10.  I'll probably have to give it away as this year as I've shrunk another 20 pounds since then.

What a great probably for you to have!  I'm glad you found some things in your closet.

Sounds like you have 2 great problems
1.  You're shrinking
2.  You get to go on vacation

I sure miss my trips.  Are you going on a cruise?  I used to cruise regularly pre-baby.  Now I'm lucky if I can go to the grocery store once a week!

DUBAI! I am so envious! I have always wanted to go there. I checked fares last year & the lowest I could find was $3700 R/T. I went to one of the Cyclades islands instead! Someday I hope to go to Dubai, though.
